Perfect stay for an extended family

Our family (ages 2 to 70) enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was very comfortable, and the lake activities and animals were a real bonus!

Great family getaway

We had a great time at Lake Coma. 4 adults and 4 children fit comfortably and we could have had room for more. The property is beautiful and relaxing.

Perfect Place to Relax and Enjoy Nature with Family

The lake view and grounds are beautiful. We all enjoyed feeding, petting and listening to the animals kept nearby. The home was spacious and updated and everything we’d hoped for. The kids loved swimming in the lake and riding in the paddle boats and canoes. All in all, the perfect place for gathering and enjoying our family!

Just 15 minutes out of Asheville, this rental is tucked away in a secluded neighborhood with a pond.

This is our fourth VRBO rental and it easily accommodated all 14 of us. There is a lot to do on property, and an amazing array of things to do all around Asheville. Mountain biking, tubing, fishing and hiking are just a few of the activities we enjoyed.

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed staying at Lake Como Lodge. The house was very comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the paddle boats, the chickens, ducks and bunnies and the tire swing. We walked and jogged around the lake. The owners are very friendly and available though we had no needs. It is a nice place to spend time in Asheville.

Wonderful family vacation in Asheville!

The house was great! My grandchildren had a wonderful time swimming, boating and fishing! There was so much to do to keep everyone busy! Within 1/2 hr or so of hiking, breweries and downtown Asheville! Home was on flight path of the airport which one would think is annoying but was kind of interesting! A great place for families to rent!

Perfect Family Retreat

The hosts at this property were the best. So responsive and helpful with anything we needed. They even went so far as to buy and install a baby gate for us upon our arrival! I highly recommend them! Thank you for making our family Thanksgiving great!

A Family Thanksgiving

We chose this house to celebrate Thanksgiving with our children, their spouses and the grandchildren. We loved the open living space and the huge dining room table. The added bonus was seeing the goats and chickens! I will quote my 4 year old granddaughter: “I am so sad to leave because I loved it there and wanted to stay forever!”

Wedding and family vacation

We were lucky enough to stay here this past week with our family from out of town. We were able to host my wedding and it was absolutely perfect. The kids were able to use the paddle boats and loved being able to fish everyday. We have already talked about booking for another family vacation next year! We’ve never stayed anywhere that provided anything and everything we could have needed! 10 out of 10!

The property is really lovely and our group enjoyed the lake and the privacy. Brett and his partner were great hosts and make sure we had everything we needed. It was exactly what we needed for a big group and we would definitely stay again. The airplane noise was a little loud, but eventually we got used to it and it really wasn’t a big deal. We caught lots of small fish in the pond and had a great time. Thanks again.

Lakeside laughter

Had a marvelous time. Great house. Perfect bedroom set ups for our family of 13. Lake and hot tub were in constant use. More chairs needed near lake for lounging, so we brought our own. Great kitchen and very large dining area which was so good for our large group.

Wedding

Owner was very helpful, made extra efforts to help us plan a small wedding without seeing property in advance. Very helpful to have her on site, very attentive. Great to have 2 homes on property for family reunion or small wedding. Large indoor spaces, porches,decks, dock, boats, trails huge kitchen were perfect for our group.

Family getaway

We loved the house and the the owner and his wife were outstanding but the winner for the grandkids were the animals, especially the goats. Brett (owner) and his wife included our grandkids on the daily feedings and medicine and they absolutely loved it. The fresh eggs were a bonus! Great location being near Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore and easy drives to Black Mountain and Hendersonville. Plenty of room for our twelve.

Perfect family vacation!

We chose the lodge for a family vacation - 4 couples and 2 children. It couldn't have been more perfect. The location is beautiful and serene, but also very close to everything you need. The kids could play in the lake in the morning (or play with the goats and chickens), the adults sometimes too, and then we could all easily be in Asheville for lunch and shopping in the afternoon or on nearby hiking trails. The home is beautiful and well taken care of - with plenty of room for everyone - and Rumi was an amazing host (so friendly and helpful). We'll definitely be back!

Mostly very good. House was clean and comfortable Everything worked well except most door latches needed repair Six of our ten people complained about the comfort of the bed The location was perfect except for jet noise from the airport. We really enjoyed the lake and dock and privacy afforded. We all agreed we would like to come back

Excellent Family Retreat

Really enjoyed this very unique property situated on a peaceful lake. We had 3 families with kids and there was so much to do (hiking, fishing, paddle boating, even feeding a variety of animals). Located centrally enough to easily get to a variety of locations around Asheville. We did a lot of cooking and kitchen was stocked and had a huge table for all of us to gather around. The owner is very nice and receptive to concerns; he even set up a Christmas tree for us as we were here over the holiday. Only minor complaint is house is a little dated downstairs with the heat only partially working which keeps it pretty chilly.
