DESCRIZIONE
Questo cottage completamente rinnovato è una delle case sulla spiaggia originali del Carmelo, immerso in un tranquillo bosco di querce secolari su un terreno privato di dimensioni doppie. Situato nel cuore del centro di Carmel, questo cottage si trova a pochi passi da tutti i grandi ristoranti, gallerie e sale di degustazione, e solo a poche porte da dove Dylan Thomas, Robinson Jeffers e Henry Miller tenevano saloni in città con altri celebrità durante i primi giorni della scena artistica del Carmelo. Questa casa 2BR / 2BA è stata completamente aggiornata con servizi moderni, pur mantenendo l'autenticità e il carattere della casa originale, tra cui pavimenti in legno di pino, camino in pietra Carmel e finestre in vetro ondulato.

Ogni camera ha un lussuoso letto king-size orientale con lenzuola in cotone egiziano a 1200 fili, copripiumino in lino belga e fodere per cuscino. Tutto è al top della linea. Ognuno dei letti king può essere convertito in due letti singoli XL separati, se necessario.

Goditi il WiFi gratuito ad alta velocità in business class e la TV Xfinity con comando vocale.

An Absolutely Wonderful Stay! What an absolute gem! We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful Carmel cottage, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.The cottage itself was simply lovely — charming, beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and full of character. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered, and it was an absolute pleasure to return to after our days exploring Carmel and the surrounding area.What really set this experience apart, however, was Barry, the owner. His warmth, attentiveness, and extraordinary thoughtfulness made our stay truly special. He was full of excellent recommendations, including the whale-watching company we used, which turned out to be absolutely superb.But the loveliest surprise came when we arrived at Aubergine for a special tasting-menu dinner. Barry knew we had reservations there, and waiting for us at our table was a personal card from him! Such an unexpected and delightful gesture, and a perfect example of the genuine care he takes to ensure his guests have a memorable visit.It's these thoughtful personal touches that distinguish a lovely place to stay from a truly exceptional one. Barry has managed to create both a beautiful cottage and a wonderfully welcoming experience.We loved every minute of our stay and would return in a heartbeat. We cannot recommend this delightful cottage, or its exceptional host, highly enough!

This property is absolutely stunning in every way. The luxury appointments in every room and the generous spaces beautifully compliment the welcoming and homely feel and together these aspects create a perfect home away from home. The kitchen was very well appointed, beds were very comfortable and the living spaces (inside and out) were super relaxing. Our host Barry was fantastic, very communicative right from when we initially booked the property, during our check-in day and throughout our stay he continued to check in with us to ensure we were more than comfortable. Lots of wonderful surprises awaited us, from the cheese and fruit platter with wine on our arrival, to the ice-cream and cookie dough in the freezer, to a curated Film Festival available to us on the TV if we wanted a quiet night in. Having said that, we also had lots of information from Barry about local restaurants and points of interest which was invaluable as we were at Carmel during Monterey Car Week which is very busy so it was great to be able to make informed restaurant bookings ahead of time. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a prime location with luxurious family sized spaces very close to Ocean Avenue and the town centre of Carmel with car parking for two cars which was a game changer for us as we explored the surrounding towns and area during our Car Week adventure.

Wonderful property, and is an excellent location. So easy to walk to all restaurants, shops and the beach! Property is clean and Barry is a very gracious host. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.

A great time in Carmel!

We had a great time staying at Barry’s beautiful home. He was very helpful and was a great host. The home was beautiful and really close to Ocean. We absolutely would stay again and highly recommend the property.

Beautiful Carmel Cottage

We loved our week in Carmel at this beautiful cozy cottage. We've stayed in Carmel for many, many years and this is now one of our favorite places to stay. Very close to everything but completely private and quiet. Barry was the perfect host and went above and beyond to make our week so enjoyable.

Carmel comfort and elegance

We had a lovely stay. The house has many little generous touches that elevate your stay. Luxurious linens and coveted off street parking area are some highlights. Charming Carmel garden and deck for lounging, eating dinner, make this a little corner of paradise.

And your words "a little corner of paradise" are truly making my head swell a bit right now :) But, to be honest, I think of Carmel and these cottages the same way. This whole area truly is a little slice of heaven. Your video of the hummingbird sipping nectar from the bougainvillea on the back deck and taking drinks from the fountain was truly magical. I've seen many hummingbird visitors over the years, but have never been fast enough to capture a video in time. And thank you for your kind notes and messages. Fantastic Week in Carmel

What an amazing week we enjoyed at the Lavender Cottage with our two kids! The cottage is magical and had everything we needed for our lovely week near (but not too near!) my parents & family. We had a super week and look forward to returning next year!

Perfect Vacation Rental

The owner has gone to great lengths to make this home comfortable and well equipped for his guests. The beds were amazing (a must for vacation naps!) We had everything we needed for four adults to enjoy a week in Carmel. The property is perfectly located and we never needed a car to get to the beach or one of the many lovely restaurants on Ocean Ave. Can't wait to come visit again.

I grew up in Chicago, surrounded by timeless architecture and true craftsmanship. In my twenties, I wandered through North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, falling in love with the art of hospitality — the shared table, the unspoken warmth of being welcomed as family. Those experiences taught me that real connection lives at the intersection of people, place, and space — a feeling I try to evoke in every home I create.

Hosting happened naturally. Friends began staying in my renovated cottages, and I realized how much joy came from crafting spaces where people instantly feel at ease — spaces that are simple, serene, and genuine.

For me, hosting isn’t business; it’s an extension of care. I want guests to rest well, breathe deeply, and leave a little lighter than when they arrived. I believe the smallest details — soft light, a quiet reading nook, the scent of ocean air through an open window — can shift how we feel.
