We had a great week as a family on our first visit to SGI. This house was in a perfect location: we walked back and forth to the beach, walked to the restaurant, donuts, and playground/park. We used the path to walk, run, and ride bikes. There was a yard for the boys to play in, play baseball, etc. The beach was uncrowded - we could come set up all our wagon full of things with plenty of space at 8AM, 11AM, 2PM or in the evenings. We have never been to a beach where we were out early to save a spot. This was a wonderful, relaxing change of pace. The house had wonderful small touches that made it obvious this was someone's home, and they were proud of. The beds were comfortable; there were mini-splits to help keep everything and everyone cool; there were multiple places to rinse sand off your body or your toys/chairs; there was a downstairs bathroom; there was plenty of space in the living areas; and there was a wonderful small pool, perfect for the home. If I had to come up with something negative, the water pressure struggled to keep up when more than one person was showering or doing the dishes, which made for some difficult evenings with 10 people, but we managed. The dishwasher also struggled to clean the dishes, but we survived. :) We really had the very best time and can't wait to visit next year.
