«Questa è una delle più incredibili ambientazioni naturali con alcune delle più belle viste sul mare delle Barbados che troverai. Haiku è una casa in pietra corallina recentemente ristrutturata, situata su un terreno di 15 acri con vista mozzafiato sul mare e accesso privato all'idilliaca spiaggia privata tramite scale.

I giardini contengono numerosi stagni con ninfee e vari alberi tropicali, piante e alberi da frutto.

Le scimmie verdi selvatiche vivono tutto intorno alla tenuta (ma mantengono le distanze, come noi con rispetto) Vivendo in armonia con molti uccelli esotici che possono essere osservati nei loro ambienti naturali. Haiku è davvero un santuario per disconnettere e fare rifornimento di energia naturale. »

Se stai cercando una privacy assoluta per poterti disconnettere dal mondo esterno e ritirarti in un bellissimo santuario, ti preghiamo di essere accolto nella nostra lussuosa villa di corallo rinnovata di recente presso l'Haiku Gardens.

Qui troverete alcune delle più belle viste dirette sul mare. Una varietà di animali locali può essere visto tra cui uccelli esotici, scimmie verdi selvatiche e rane che cantano. Di notte, a seconda della stagione, i granchi possono essere visti vagare per il giardino e la casa di notte. L'ambiente tranquillo consente un completo relax. La posizione è ideale per chiunque sia alla ricerca di un completo relax all'interno di un meraviglioso piccolo paradiso naturale.

Gradini di pietra corallina ti conducono attraverso una foresta magica fino alla spiaggia privata dove puoi semplicemente rinfrescarti o fare snorkeling tra le numerose rocce per vedere una varietà di vita marina.

La tenuta ha una guest house aggiuntiva che può ospitare altre 4 persone (2 camere matrimoniali e una doccia). Questa casa è più semplice e più piccola della casa principale, ma se hai più di 8 persone puoi usare questa opzione aggiuntiva. È l'ideale per amici, famiglia, personale, ecc.

A great place to stay

Haiku Gardens is the perfect property away from the hustle and bustle of the West Coast. Thanks to the owner's accurate and timely information, we had no problem driving to the property up in the North. Tony, the caretaker, gave us a warm welcome and even had stocked the fridge with everything we needed on our first day. He picked coconuts and and vegetables for us to eat, sometimes brought some fresh fish and even cooked an excellent dinner for us one evening. The house is spacious and has all amenities you could wish for, including very good WiFi. We especially enjoyed our evenings on the patio with the sound of the ocean and the beautiful colours of sunset. Renting a car is a must - grocery shopping is a 20 minute drive away. All the beaches of the West Coast are within easy reach and going to the South or East Coast is no problem either. The beach right near the house is beautiful but the sea can be quite rough and swimming or snorkelling is only recommended during calm weather. There are lots of other things to do as well - we recommend visiting the Botanical Garden and St. Nicholas Abbey. A former plantation, it is now an ingeniously designed museum and rum distillery that takes you back into the history of this beautiful island. Haiku Gardens ist der perfekte Ort für alle, die jenseits der touristischen Hektik Ruhe genießen wollen. Dank der sorgfältig erstellten Information des Vermieters erreicht man das Anwesen im Norden per Auto problemlos. Tony, der Verwalter, begrüßte uns bei Ankunft und hatte den Kühlschrank mit allem gefüllt, was wir am ersten Tag brauchten. Auch sonst war er immer für uns da - mit Kokosnüssen, Gemüse, ab und zu einem frischen Fisch - an einem Abend hat er für uns ein leckeres karibisches Essen bereitet. Das Haus ist geräumig und hat allen Komfort für einen unbeschwerten Urlaub. Besonders bezaubernd waren unsere Abende auf der Terrasse mit Meeresrauschen und den beeindruckenden Farben des Sonnenuntergangs. Ein Mietwagen ist ein Muss - zum nächsten Supermarkt sind es ca. 20 min Fahrt. Zu den Stränden der Westküste ist es nicht weit, auch die Süd- und Ostküste ist in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Der Strand direkt unterhalb des Hauses ist schön, allerdings ist die See oft rau und Schwimmen oder Schnorcheln sollte man nur bei ruhigem Wetter. Auch sonst kann man viel unternehmen - wir empfehlen besonders den Besuch des Botanischen Gartens und der ehemaligen PlantageSt. Nicholas Abbey, heute Museum und Rummanufaktur.

Highlight of our Barbados trip

The best way to explain how much we enjoyed this house: On the plane home the 4 of us asked one another, what were your favorite parts of the vacation. All answered that top rating went to our vacation home. Sights like Hunte's Gardens, Clifton Great House, etc were excellent; but our favorite times were breakfasting on the veranda, evening drinks in the same spot, glimpsing the monkeys on the lawns, petting the caretaker's small and gentle dogs. Several nights we ate light dinners at home as well rather than dining out. The pictures on this site are accurate, but cannot convey the peace that comes with the sound and sight of the sea. Tony the caretaker, a kind man who sees all as 'family,' is another asset; he made our stay even better with advice and friendly conversations. Any negatives at all? Well, you have already realized that the spot is remote, 15 minutes to Speightstown for a grocery, restaurants as Kai indicates in his write-up; trips to the beaches and sights around the island are all a little longer. For us the extra travel time was well worth it. Also I wouldn't count on swimming at the little beach and not much wading or floating. Pleasant to walk down to (a couple of minutes on steep stairs) and dip one's toes on occasion - and gather a couple of sea fan corals that have washed up. We are 2 couple from Massachusetts, middle age (and senior in my case); we are active. We have traveled together a few times (to Europe), always doing the research to find excellent apartments, houses, or b-and-b's at which to stay. But no place has ever pleased as much as this one. And No, I do not normally give 5 * reviews with such glowing praise; but this is an exceptional property at which to stay.

I am very glad that you all did enjoy and treasure Haiku Gardenss as my family and friends do. Guests like you preserve the spirit of our little paradise and I do hope to welcome you back one day in the near future again. Tony the caretaker is part of that place - he is not only trufully helpful to us and our guests but without him Haiku Gardens would not be the same! Many thanks for staying with us!

Haiku Gardens Villa has been fully renovated and built out in 2018. This is probably the most unique property and spot in the Island for anyone who looks to really disconnect from the day to day rat race. The main luxury for me and my guests is the setting, the tranquility and the privacy. Maid and caretakers are optional at your service to fulfill any need and wish during your stay - to basically enjoy a different holiday with lasting memories. We decided not to install TV - There is Wifi though throughout the house to still stay connected when needed.

We offer the following staff at your disposal:

Maid - Gwendolyne for almost 20 years trusted staff, attends during the week, depending on guests needs and wishes. She takes care of the cleaning, washing and any other needs you will have in and around the house, including kids on evenings if wished.

Caretaker: Patrick is tending to the gardens and any repairs or needs you may have during your stay including scaling one of our many coconut trees to fetch fresh coconut water for you to refresh you! (please don't try this yourself!)

We can offer a grocery shopping service prior to your arrival then the fridge is stocked ready for you!




To be aware:

* No responsibility is taken by the owners for guests using the stairs to the beach and the beach itself.
* It is forbidden to feed the monkeys - they are wild and should not encouraged to engage with humans.
* There are guard dogs on site (they live with the caretakers who are also based in a small house in the gardens away from the main house)
* Never stand below or scale any coconut tree.
* Do not touch the green berries you may find when walking down the beach - they are poisonous
* We have not installed a TV due to the fact that guest should take the time to disconnect and tank the natural energy around them. Just imagine lounging on the terrace in the hammock, sipping a rum and coke while listening to the natural orchestra this world has to offer..
