Family-friendly Rental

Overall good location & plenty of sleeping & living space. No outdoor seating / eating area, but enjoyed the front screened porch.

Nice place, roomy, basic

This is a good place with kids... nothing too fancy, did not have to worry about anything getting broken... might go for something with bigger beds... son in law too long for a double, needs at least a queen!

Great location and clean and easy to use!

We had a great time at Crystal - a quick 1 minute drive to the slopes or an easy 7 minute walk. Our cabin was so clean, well stocked with linens, games and kitchen stuff. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Fall weekend getaway

What a great cottage at Crystal Mountain! Very spacious and cozy. Perfect size for a family or for a few friends looking for a weekend getaway. We, as mountain bikers, enjoyed the location, central to the lodge, restaurants and the start/finish line for peak 2 peak. We will definitely return. Thank you Rita for responding quickly to the questions we had while there.

Great location

Overall stay was excellent. Short drives to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear dunes. Crystal Mountain Resort was great for the kids. The only downside was since it got warm the week of our visit air conditioning would have been nice. We managed. Would love to visit in the winter time. Trent

Spacious beautiful home. Comfortable screened in porch. Fun time around the campfire. Peaceful wooded lot. Very quiet evenings. Easy to get too many attractions

Cute cottage in Crystal Mountain neighborhood

We had a wonderful week here! The cottage was perfect for our group.The large pantry was great for storage. The kids loved the ping pong table in the basement. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the Christmas tree! The owners were very easy to communicate with. The laundry room had all the supplies you need. The kitchen could use a few things, like cookie sheets and few other items, but it was a great home and we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

House does not have air conditioning but home owner provided limited fans. Upstairs gets very hot during the summer so recommend bringing your own fans with you. Aside from no AC this house and property are great!!

Great stay for 10 of us on a golf trip. Plenty of room and easy instruction of getting in and out. Only downfall was no AC in the hot summer months. But with windows open, it wasn’t bad at all.

Great Stay

This house was very close to many sites: Frankfort, Beulah beach, Iron Fish Distillery. The house was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was stocked with the utensils and cookware needed for us to make dinner. Plenty of blankets and towels were provided. We enjoyed having our coffee in the morning in the screened in front porch.

Perfect for what we needed

We were at Crystal for a conference and this was a great spot with ideal accommodations for four of us. We actually didn't spend a ton of time in the house. One minor irritant - we had to still the beds. But that's not really a big deal

Family ski trip

As a past guest I was a little disappointed in the house this time. It wasn’t as clean as it was previously. We were given one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. I know we are supposed to purchase our own supplies but when arriving at night with a group, two rolls would be appreciated by guests to get us started. I couldn’t find any extra pillows for the futon. The listing says there is firewood but we did not see any this time. Many of the dishes were dirty. We had to wash them before we used them. Last time we rented there were pictures on the walls but they are gone now. It just needs a little updating. Lastly, they need new mattresses. The mattresses are very worn and soft. A toilet was broken upon arrival and she had it fixed right away. I don’t mean to complain but owning rental property myself I would want to know these things.

New Years Fun!

We had a great time! Great place, lots of kitchen amenities, beds were comfortable, very spacious for all 14 of us. We could have used more toilet paper and maybe some Kleenex. That is the only thought we had. Beautiful place, clean, comfortable and perfect for all of us. Thank you so much for such a great place to celebrate the new year!

Great Up North Home

This house was perfect for our extended family gathering. The location was nice, great firepit, and responsive host. The screened in porch was so nice (although could use a little upgrade on the furniture). Overall it was a great home and we highly recommend it!

Great Family vacation destination!

Home was so nicely equipped and furnished. Enjoyed the screened-in porch and outside firepit. We could walk to the resort activities. Close enough to Sleeping Bear Dunes for a half-day trip with little ones! Highly recommend this property!

Host: Rita Wieber

Rita and Renee are sisters who grew up in Lansing, Michigan. After enjoying winter skiing at many Michigan resorts, their parents invested in a cottage at Crystal Mountain resort in 1999. In 2005, they had the opportunity to purchase the last available lot in the Club #1 at Crystal and had the Mountain Resort custom built. Their families have enjoyed many years of year-round fun at Crystal. With growing families, the sisters are now sharing their beautiful cottage with other families and friends to enjoy.

Take a 10-minute walk to skiing, golf and all of the amenities at the resort. Relax in the cottage nestled behind beautiful pine trees on a quiet cul-de-sac. Take a little drive and you will find yourself on the beach of Lake Michigan in the quaint resort town of Frankfurt, enjoying a cherry pie in Beaulah, or climbing the sandy dunes of Sleeping Bear. Any type of escape you are seeking is all available from our comfortable, homey cottage.
