On the 4th evening of their 5-night stay, our guests wrote to report that they were hearing mice in the walls. We were surprised as we have never heard or seen any mouse in the wintertime during the 19 years that we have been living on the resort. In addition, there were 3 groups of 12 to 14 people staying at our property in the weeks and days prior to the guests’ arrival and nobody reported any similar issue. This was an unusual and very unfortunate situation that could have been easily avoided had the issue been communicated to us in a timely manner by our guests. Within minutes after having been made aware of the issue, we offered several ways to resolve it – including relocation at our own expenses and calling an exterminator to have a look at the situation – which were all declined or left unanswered by the travellers. In the end, a pest control expert came the next day and reported evidence of one mouse – two at the most – that he thought might have come in recently through a door left open too long. The whole 4-unit building was preventively serviced and everything was back to normal immediately. We care about our guests and we have always been very responsive to their needs, as shown in other guest reviews, and we will continue to do so.
