Our stay at this cabin was amazing. Woke up every morning to the neighboring Elk herd that passed by. And most mornings, a small group mule deer. This cabin is very nice and comfortable. It seems like it has all the creature comforts as we have back home. All we needed was groceries. Tammy was extremely helpful, and accommodating. The fireplace was warm and well stocked. I highly recommend staying at this cabin. Its was excellent!

I hesitate to write a review because I want it to be a secret! Seriously, if you were looking for an escape from all things in the world, this is the place to come. The peace and solitude is unmatched, considering you can drive to the front door of the ranch home. There is not another light to be seen once the sun sets. The night sky is something to be taken in night after night. The wildlife viewing opportunities are just another perk of this gemstone. The hosts are the real deal - . I’m already planning my next stay!

A friend and I were looking for a 'meet in the middle' quiet stay and we knew McAllister's was perfect because of a previous stay. The views are lovely and you are literally surrounded by the best that Montana has to offer when it comes to peace and quiet. We cooked, played games, watched movies, put a giant puzzle together and watched the wildlife and cows that surrounded us. Evening fires in the fireplace were just icing on the cake.

Excellent isn't enough to describe our stay. We started out on a bad note due to flight delays where two of us had to fly into Spokane instead of Missoula. The host provided information for my son to find a place to hang out until I could get a rental and drive to meet him. Then our rental car had a flat tire the first day, Scott and Tammy offered to take it to town for repair, which helped us immensely. We were visited by bears several times, but my son managed to scare them away. Two cubs tried to enter the cabin and had paw prints all over our car twice. We saw elk, mule deer, and bear every day, and enjoyed magnificent scenery sunrises too. Enjoyed several campfires and just had a great time. We really did not want to leave. We bought burger from Scott and Tammy and it was delicious. You won't go wrong renting this cabin if you enjoy the real life Montana, wildlife, and friendly hospitality. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The cabin is rustic but modern and we love spending time there. This is our third stay and we are already booked for a fourth visit. The country is gorgeous and the host could not be better.

Great views, peaceful location.

Great attentive hosts and it's a beautiful location and home! Stunning views all around, opportunities to see lots of wildlife. This was the last leg of a week-long road trip vacation so R&R was top priority!

We had such a lovely weekend! The location is remote but easy to access. The views were absolutely amazing and the sunrise/sunsets were breathtaking. We saw lots of birds, coyotes, and charismatic cows (we named a big handsome bull Ferdinand). During a very mild Montana winter, we picked the weekend of a winter storm. It was perfect! The cabin was so cozy and had everything we needed. We had 6 adult ladies and there was plenty of room and comfort for all of us. Tammy was the perfect host and gracious in her offerings. Thank you for sharing your place with us. We will see you again!

Peaceful valley

The views were amazing. Very peaceful and cozy place to be. This was our first time being in Montana. We plan to come back and stay at the same place. The owner of the cabin was so hospitable.

Hot Springs Cabin

The cabin accomadations were good for our family. We loved the views out every window. The online accuracy of this site stated the cabin was 9 miles from the area of Perma where we were attending a wedding. It was actually a 75 minute drive. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We were so happy to accommodate you family for your special occasion. I will have to research what the VRBO app uses as a reference for travel time to different places. The remoteness of the ranch is for sure something that I like to make our guest very aware of.

The only ranch you need to see.

Property was great it had all we needed and more: grill, yard games, washer/dryer all on top of unreal views in every direction. The property is amazing, would like to come back and ditch the kids to explore the ranch more. Tammy and Scott and their abdoable cowboy son, Nick, were awesome hosts. We drove with two kids little kids from Wisconsin and it was worth it, that is saying something!

A remarkable western adventure!

Days filled with beautiful on site hikes, wildlife galore, cattle roaming, rattlesnake hunting, homestead exploring, roping lessons, singing cowboy songs and ending with a peaceful expansive Montana view and millions of stars. We can’t think of anything better! Thank you McAllister family❤️

As advertised. !! Remote and quiet

Tammy and Scott ( and son Jack). Were so welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed being away from it all! This cabin is rustic but has everything you need. Bed and bath linens were quality. We used the BBQ most nights for cooking. beautiful starry nights. Milky Way planets and we were there for DuperMoon with front row seats. We would highly recommend this property to those wanting an off the grid experience and peace and quiet

Awesome Cabin with Wildlife Galore!

We had a wonderful time staying here and would definitely recommend this property. Very clean and comfortable cabin, very private and peaceful with wildlife viewing everyday. We saw two different Bear mama's with cubs, Elk and Deer all from our back patio. Beds were comfortable and kitchen stocked with all the necessities. Verizon worked well for a hotspot, but with the view and the acreage to explore who needs internet. My husband and I would love to come back when the weather is cooler to hunt for upland game birds with our dogs and sip hot coco by the fire. Thank you Scott and Tammy.

Phenomenal!

My husband and I have two sons ( 22 and 17). We have been traveling out west for the past eight years with friends of ours that have two sons as well. We have traveled all over the out west. We have also rented countless of homes in all the places we visited. This cabin is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Tammy (host) and her family were so welcoming and nice to talk to. The condition of the cabin was fantastic and the views on the property were outstanding. I can’t say enough about this hidden gem. We will absolutely be returning to this beautiful place.

Cabin on the Ranch

I could write a whole paper on how wonderful this place was. This place is not for people looking for convenience. It is 20 miles off of the main road, unpaved road is about 7+ miles. Once you get there, there is an abundance of wildlife to view and of course cows to greet you due to it being on a cattle ranch. The cabin was great, with new amenities and some old. So don't expect brand new, but everything worked and gave it a certain charm. The peace and quiet and the hospitality from Tammy and everyone else on the ranch and nearby area was great. I seriously cannot say enough words to tell you how life changing this experience was for me and my husband.

Peaceful, Relaxing, Beautiful Cabin

You can't beat the views at this cabin! The sunrise and sunset are incredible! Yes, it is remote, but that is one of the things we loved about it. The cabin has everything you need to make your stay comfortable-kitchen is stocked, beds are comfortable, the AC in the loft and the many fans made the temperature in the cabin comfortable even on a hot day. Tammy was great with communication from the start of the booking to our drive home. She gave us a tour of their beautiful ranch and we were able to meet some of the animals as well! Tammy also gave us some hiking recommendations in the area. The cabin is about 2.5 hours to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park and about 40 minutes to Flathead Lake. I love bird watching and saw many species of birds that I had not seen before. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the peace and quiet! Our stay at the cabin was amazing and we were sad to leave!
