We had a wonderful stay! The location was excellent, the condo was very clean, and it was incredibly comfortable. We’d definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others.

The condo was exactly as described. The location is excellent. It was nice to have a garage to park my car and bike, but it is a small garage. Ample supplies of toiletries and coffee provided. All guest items are clearly marked.

This property is very clean, comfortable, and relaxing, and the owner is very nice. We enjoyed our stay! One thing worth noting if you’re specifically filtering your search for a property with a hot tub and pool: these amenities are located at the Tahoe Donner Recreation Center and are no longer included free for short-term rental guests. We missed that detail in the description when booking and had assumed access was included.Just sharing this so other guests looking specifically for a pool and hot tub know to factor the additional cost into their stay.

Thank you for the 5-star review and the reminder that the pool and hot tub are at the Trout Creek Recreation Center, not on our property. We offer short-term renter guest passes (six of them); however, Tahoe Donner charges fees for entry to the private amenities, including the Trout Creek Rec Center. Further, beginning in 2026, Tahoe Donner has BLACKOUT DATES for these STR guest passes (the usual dates: Xmas, New Years, Prez Day, MLK, July 4, etc.). I always recommend going to the Tahoe Donner website and reviewing all their relevant information before you book the property and before you arrive for your vacation.

We had a nice weekend in Cary’s Tahoe Donner rental, and Cary was a great host. We will definitely look to stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Truckee. It will incredibly clean, has a good location and the level 2 ev charger is great whether you drive an EV or plugin hybrid.

The half hour phone call to go over details was a bit much. Could have been done with an email check list instead of over the phone taking notes. The result is that you know Cary really cares about his property, and it shows. Nice place, kind and generous host. I would recommend to others and definitely stay again. We had an issues getting out of town on our end and he graciously offered to swap days so we could get the most from our trip. Better service than any of the others we’ve tried. .

The host was the most welcoming we have had. I very much liked parking the Rivian in the garage and the EV charger was great! Also appreciated the coffee, wine, and not having to strip the beds or take out the garbage.

Amazing place

We had a great time staying at Cary's place. The location is close to everything we needed. The place is huge, kitchen and all items is well organized. We would love to come back again if we have the chance.

Lovely Tahoe Donner Condo!

We had a great ski getaway at this lovely condo. An amazingly convenient Tahoe Donner location, extremely thoughtful owner, and very comfortable home with numerous amenities. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing location and Cabin!

Everything went exceptionally well. Great time and we'll be sure to come back. Very clean and nice space, well positioned close to the pool and golf course.

Great place to stay

We loved staying at Cary's place in Truckee. It was a great size and felt so cozy while we were there. Location was wonderful. Kitchen had everything we needed which we appreciated. The owner Cary was very easy to get ahold of and helpful to answer any questions.

We had a wonderful stay at Cary’s house. Very homey, and perfect for a family vacation. Plenty of games and DVDs for the whole family to enjoy. Great location - right at the heart of Tahoe Donner, and very convenient to get to Palisades every day. Cary is a very attentive, thoughtful, and thorough host. We felt well taken care of before we even stepped foot in this home!

Summer Stay

This VRBO was great! Cary took time before our stay to walk me through the entire property which helped my group be set up for success. Clean, easy to navigate, lots of supplies. Would stay here again.

Beautiful Cabin!

Excellent Cabin, perfect for a family of 6 or less. Beds were comfy, lots of kitchen equipment, super clean and tidy. Very modern and up to date. Very helpful owner who called before we stayed. Would recommend this Cabin to anyone.
