Questo affascinante e soleggiato cottage di 2 piani si trova nel centro di Hendersonville, in una proprietà privata a più cabine, vicino al centro (solo 3,5 miglia). Situato in posizione perfetta per esplorare le cascate e i sentieri di DuPont e Pisgah, Asheville, Brevard e altro. Lo storico Foxhole Cottage è l'ideale per coppie, viaggiatori d'affari o amici che viaggiano insieme. Non adatto a bambini piccoli o animali domestici.

Il Foxhole Cottage ha una storia celebre. Questo 2 camere da letto / 1. 5 bagni, il cottage del 1940 fu originariamente costruito come una carrozza dietro la storica casa in pietra della proprietà, che era conosciuta come la Brightwaters Guesthouse, fondata nel 1938. Al piano superiore c'erano 3 stanze - 2 erano camere da letto per i cuochi che venivano dalla Florida in estate per cucinare al Brightwaters Lodge and Dining Room, che era al centro della proprietà. Una terza stanza era utilizzata per lo stoccaggio delle merci. I lavori di ristrutturazione negli anni '70 hanno chiuso il piano inferiore (ora soggiorno / sala da pranzo e cucina e mezzo bagno) e hanno combinato 2 camere in 1 grande camera da letto principale al piano superiore. Il nome "Foxhole" è originale per la struttura.

Oggi, il Foxhole Cottage è stato rinnovato e riportato al suo antico splendore, esponendo i pavimenti in legno massiccio rifinito al piano superiore, le porte rustiche originali e i soffitti con travi a vista.

Il Foxhole Cottage è un'ottima casa per scappare per godersi la vita all'aria aperta. Molto vicino a tutti i migliori percorsi per mountain bike ed escursionismo - DuPont, Pisgah, Bent Creek e Mills River. Il Foxhole Cottage è situato in posizione centrale per ristoranti, birrerie e divertimenti a Hendersonville, Brevard e Asheville.

Può ospitare un massimo di 4 persone. Minuti di alimentari e ristoranti. Ottimo per coppie, viaggiatori d'affari o amici che viaggiano insieme. Non adatto a bambini piccoli o animali domestici.

Beautiful park like setting, clean cottage. It good for 2 people it would have been better if there was a sectional for seating for 4 people in LR. There were many lights not working, in kitchen, entrance with stairs, at top of steep interior stairs reported to Bright Water property but no one fixed it or contacted us. Also the dryer is broken and Bathroom door knob broken. It would have been a better cabin if it was maintained well. Went hiking at Triple falls, High falls, Looking Glass Falls all gorgeous. Sierra Nevada Brewery and trails amazing. Will return to the area.

So Perfect!

Elisabeth, thanks so much for sharing this house. Cozy and charming. Great place for a girls or couples getaway. Close to Hendersonville with shopping and plenty of restaurants. Can't wait for our next visit!

Surprise birthday getaway

I surprised my husband with a birthday getaway. I put the address in the GPS and he followed the directions step by step not having any idea where we were going. This place was PERFECT in every way! We loved the history of the property, the architecture, the beauty, the style. It was definitely our favorite stay!

Wonderful!

The Foxhole Cottage was perfect for me and my sister for a long weekend! Very clean and nicely decorated with a kitchen with all the basics! We felt very safe in this cottage which is part of a collection of cottages that surround a lovely little park with walking path. The neighborhood is very quiet, but convenient to the main road. It was very nice to be able to open the screened windows in the bedrooms to feel the cool night breeze!

Getting to the house was easy and the parking was perfect. Super cute location and the lights were on. Very easy to use the code to get in. Super impressed with the information the host gave to give you lots of info about hiking and so much more. Really appreciated that! The only thing I did not enjoy was the bed. I know it's a personal choice but the bed is FIRM. The pillows were great though :). I had a question about the heat and the host quickly responded.

Our stay was what we were hoping to expect, cozy, quiet, close to everything if we needed it. The owner was very helpful with what we were having difficulty doing. We will definitely keep this serene place on our list to visit again.

Excellent location

The property was close to the waterfalls in the area but also close to the cute town of Hendersonville. The house was very clean and the decor was fabulous.

Fall is in the Air- perfect cottage treasure

This cottage is delightful. Perfect location, size. Beyond clean. This was our first outing since COVID. We felt save. Thank you. I would suggest smaller coffee cups. Your are beautiful but heavy. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. This is our 46 season on Hendersonville. Thank you for a grand experience.

WONDERFUL Weekend getaway!

Cute, clean and homey ! We have stayed at several B and B’s and cabins but none trump the condition of this cottage, down to the little details. The management and owners of these properties are top notch in my book. The decor is updated and bright. The Owner Elisabeth was so knowledgeable and helpful. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND!❤️

Wonderful place with a lot of history. Close to everything.

We stayed in the cottage for a month. Elizabeth was wonderful and was always available for questions. The only issue we had is that you only have access to basic cable so very little channels available unless you love to shop. This is an issue for only those staying more than a few days. This cottage is located close to everything. Great place and very private.

Clean and quaint cottage

The cottage was all the owner said it was and more. It was beautiful, clean, and had all the amenities. The owner was very helpful with lots of recommendations about local events and good resturants. This is a gem of a find for a wonderful getaway.

All our needs were met and this adorable house!

We had such a great time so we extended our stay. The house is not only super functional but I love the history behind it. Elizabeth met us with the biggest smile and a homemade treat on the table. She was ready to help us with anything we needed. I highly recommend this adorable house. I love that the kitchen was so well stocked with all the plates and accessories that we needed!

The Foxhole cottage was secluded but near to everything. Beautifully furnished.

We had a great time in the area. The cottage was exactly what we were hoping to find. Comfortable, cozy and close to everything. Nice quiet neighborhood, too. Elisabeth had everything ready for us. Excellent host and property.

The cottage is only 3.5 miles from downtown Hendersonville. Minutes to DuPont Forest and Pisgah Forest waterfalls and trails. Within 30 minutes, you can be in Asheville, Brevard, Bent Creek, the Bike Farm in Pisgah Forest, The Gorge, ziplining and white water rafting adventures.

Check out Oskar Blues Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Bold Rock Cidery, St. Paul Mountain Vineyards, Burntshirt Vineyard and more. Even closer are all of the great restaurants, shops and breweries in downtown Hendersonville. Public golf course only 6 miles away. Kayaking and canoeing with Lazy Otter Outfitters is just 2 miles away. And in season, apple picking orchards are just minutes from the cottage.
