April 2025 Madeira Beach stay

The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. First floor units and building next door under construction caused noise and access issues however we enjoyed our stay and visit with friends.JD

Short stay

Overall it was okay for a short stay and only a couple people. The bed was comfortable but I think there could be some better living room furniture I know it's small we just ended up going to bed.

Great Location

You can’t beat this location. Right across the street from John’s Pass, right on the gulf beach. This was such a great location. There are some quirks with being this close to John’s Pass but you are also right on the beach and that made it so nice.

Nice Weekend Beach Couples Getaway

Staying on the beach can get quite pricey. This is a nice place to get away and not break the bank. Located right across the street from John's Pass Village where there's shops and dining.

Perfect location and seamless check in

As a frequent visitor to Medeira Beach I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, the description of the property falls short. It states it sleeps 3 people with a bedroom and twin sleeper sofa in the living/kitchen area. Tge sofa was small 2 seater that doesn’t pull out into a sofa bed. I was travelling with my 86 year old mom who fortunately could fit on this sofa to sleep. If she had been taller it would have been impossible.

Just what we needed

This place was just what we needed. We were only in the room a small amount of time because the location to the beach was awesome! We enjoyed the walk ability to John’s Pass! Thanks Kathy

Not what we expected

We realize that the construction couldn't be helped. But during the entire stay and closed the pool 3 x's. Also refrigerator is too small for groceries in a long stay and doesn't work properly. It freezes the food even when temperature is turned down! The staff is nice.

Unit is very small. Front view is of the parking lot & back view is of the roof. Balcony was shared with other renters, 2 of whom we're heavy smokers.

Location location location!

This place is perfect for a couple I would not recommend children as it’s quite small. My boyfriend and I came and stayed for the weekend for my birthday and it was perfect for just that! It’s located directly across from John’s Pass which was perfect for us and the beach is not forever away from the hotel like in other parts of this area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful pool and location

Loved staying at Surfsong just little old and not super clean. Pool big and clean. Right on beach. Need to powerwash balcony dirt where you put feet sitting on chairs. We loved our stay at Surfsong would come again.

Quaint and Cozy!!

It was tiny but it was all we needed for 2 people for a week vacation on the beach. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were new. The view was exactly what was described but we spent our days on the beach not on the balcony. We loved the location = close to Johns Pass and within easy walking or driving of restaurants and shopping. We will definitely consider staying at Surf Song again.

Perfect for 3

Perfect for me and 2 daughters. We had all we needed for a 10 day stay in Madeira Beach. Johns Pass across the street was lots of fun for 2 teens to explore and endless restaurants to choose from. The condo is cute and comfortable and has everything you need for light meals. The resort is clean and safe... the grill area, pool and lounge chair area is spotless even when the resort is full. Several laundry facilities were also helpful. The owner Kathy was very responsive and easy to work with- we will definitely stay here again.

Convenient

Room was quite small but nice. One thing we didnt like was there was no restroom near the pool & you had to go back to your room everytime you needed to use the bathroom. Our neighbor even agreed that people were probably using the pool!

Worked out great

Everything was great here, my only complaint was about the AC usage. It’s impossible to have it not below 76 or 74 to sleep comfortably. It wouldn’t have been as bad if there was a fan in the bedroom but without it, gets a bit stuffy. However everything else was just as I expected and would definitely recommend or attempt to stay again.

Great Location, Lousy View, Needs TLC

For the price it was worth it. Great beach access, good proximity to restaurants and shops. The unit itself is very small and has a terrible view of the gulf, but that much is made clear when renting. There are a few things that need attention... cupboard doors need repair, lack of sufficient lighting, terrible mattress that needs replacing.

Love the location !

Location was great ! 2 small issues, everyone smoked everywhere !! The balcony is shared and all the neighbors smoked all the times very insulting to people who do not smoke ! SMOKERS HUNG AROUND THE POOL THE WHOLE TIME.The other issue is the view from the shared balcony is of air conditioners (3RD FLOOR). Room was clean, could use some updates, however had all the necessaries.

Wonderful Property and Place!

Loved it. The only tid bit of information is that this room is the only one with an electronic unlocking system, aka key code. Everyone else has physical keys to their doors except this one. When we first arrived we had no idea what we were doing so we kept asking people for help and ended up wandering around for quite a while before actually trying to check the room. Once we went to the room we realized what was going on. Other than this the room was amazing, the location is amazing, and everything else is just flat amazing!
