We had a wonderful stay at Casa Hermosa! The house is pristine, with lots of room to spread out for a larger group and a great social area with the pool and outdoor kitchen. The location near Punta Sur is peaceful with a beautiful view of the sea. We loved exploring the nearby shops, art gallery, and restaurants and going to Punta Sur at sunrise to see the sea turtles! Having a golf cart is great to see more of the island, but taxis are always available just steps away when Garrafón is open. We have stayed at some of the larger resorts in Playa Norte and loved Casa Hermosa so much more. Looking forward to our next stay!

I booked this for my bachelorette many months in advance and Darrin was very communicative and kind throughout. The house is beautiful and has the most amazing views. The large beds all have very comfy bed toppers. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend.

Perfect Escape

We enjoyed the property immensely. It was clean and spacious and the properrty manager, Stacy, was incredibly responsive the few times we needed her!

A good time on Isla

Beautiful home and the pictures don’t do it justice! It was the perfect stay for our daughter’s Senior Trip! Darrin, the owner, was very responsive to any and all questions that arised! Shirt walk to many beach clubs and restaurants. Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home.

Great get away

Thoroughly enjoyed a short stay for a girls weekend. Views from the roof of both sides of the island, and views from 2nd floor bedrooms were amazing. We were welcomed with guacamole and pico, which was a nice touch. Would stay here again!

Wonderful experience

Our trip to isla was perfect and Casa Hermosa was part of the reason. The house was perfect, the beds and rooms were great. We appreciated the welcoming and guacamole that were waiting for us when we arrived. It was great, thank you for your hospitality. You have a beautiful home.

A really great place with a super responsive property manager.

This house is so cool. I wish we could've stayed longer, but I'm sure everyone says that. We had two minor issues that were resolved almost immediately. Completely walkable to a handful of restaurants and amenities. Because Garrafon park is right across the street, there were always taxis available. A real treat.

Highly recommend!! Great family location

This was such a great experience I dont even know where to start! We stayed with our children (15,12,8,6,4) and my sister and her husband. The house was beautiful! This home has been remodeled and updated since the pictures have been posted on the listing. Great full kitchen with all appliances, the rooftop area was stunning at night! The pool was great for all the kids ( and adults). There is a shallow area on 1/3 of the pool that is great for little kids or adults who just want to sit in the water. The pool was cleaned daily. The house was spotless when we arrived. We had asked the property managar if they could have some grocceries and drinks stocked at the house as we were arriving late in the evening, they were more than happy to, and we even had fresh guac and pico waiting for us! It was great to be on the quieter end of the island. We walked across the street every day to get icecream, we walked to the Joint bar to get some fantastic pizzas, and walking to Punta Sur most nights to watch the sunset was awesome! I would 💯 recommend renting this house! Great experience and would absolutely stay again.

Great House in a Great Location!

We loved our stay at Isla Mujeres! Our group was composed of two families- four adults and five kids. the house was in the perfect location for us. Seeing as how we were traveling with kids, we appreciated its quiet location. There are also a lot of things to do that are within walking distance. The property manager, Stacy, was awesome! She helped us arrange excursions, gave us great recommendations, and even made reservations for us for golf carts, taxis, etc. This is a two story house with four huge bedrooms. The first floor has a master with king bed and en suite bathroom. Also on the first floor is another bedroom with two double beds. There is a full bathroom in the hallway on the first floor. Then on the second floor, you have your main living areas (kitchen, living, dining), a half bath, plus two masters with en suite bathrooms. Both of the upstairs master bedrooms each have a king sized bed plus two twin sized beds (they're trundles), so each of the upstairs masters can comfortably sleep a family of four. Lastly, there is an indoor staircase to a rooftop patio. The rooftop patio has amazing views! The kitchen is fully equipped (although I would recommend updating the cookware) to cook for large groups. We also enjoyed using the outdoor kitchen/grill by the pool. There is also a really nice balcony off the main living area, which offers spectacular views of the Caribbean! We loved this property and would definitely stay here again!

Want to go again!

This is a vacation that you can customize however you want. Having a beautiful house to stay at with a gorgeous pool and all the home essentials you need (actually, maybe even more then you might have at home with the outside living area) allow you to cook in or eat out and relax. The layout of the house makes it ideal for 2 (comfortable) or 3 smaller families, 4 couples, or a girls or guys vacation. Once you split the cost, you may actually be paying less then all renting your own "rooms" at a resort. The beach is at the north end (house is at the south) of the island and is a short distance to travel either by taxi or by golf cart if you choose to rent one. If you do a beach day, be sure to find the 'free chairs', the catch is that you have to buy a few drinks. If you prefer not to drink, you can simply purchase an umbrella and beach loungers. Be sure to come with pesos. Sometimes you are spending more when you use US dollars although, it is acceptable to use either anywhere on the island. There are plenty of activities to do if you are active. Swim with dolphins, Beach Clubs, Garafon Park which includes snorkeling, kayaking and zip lines. Most of these places include a buffet and open bar so you can have an all inclusive day if it suits you. Note: You can visit the Mayan Ruin as a part of your Garafon pass, it is breathtaking to see and imagine millennia and centuries gone by - The Cliff of the Dawn, the most eastern part of Mexico. The restaurant there has an exquisite seafood dish for 2. You could customize the entire vacation relaxing at the house too! There is a great grocery store that has everything you need. There are handful of restaurants within walking distance that offer a variety of experiences for each meal you enjoy out. Part of eating out is to see the island and experience some of the culture there. There are movies, TV with access to Netflix, board games and the pool! You can sit on one of the decks or the roof and watch the stars and take in the views 360 degrees. If you like shopping and haggling then be sure to visit the shops, we didn't make it to Hidalgo Street, where the best shopping is to be had (so I've heard) but would make this a priority next time. A place worth visiting, a house worth living (albeit temporary), Mexico - in all honesty is a place I thought I'd never go - has me hooked. It will be my vacation destination again. Casa Hermosa is truly a Beautiful House!

Beautiful Views and Great Location!We had a great stay on the south end of the island! The absolute standout feature of this property is the incredible view. The location made it very easy to get around, (about 20 min cart ride to North Beach) and the house itself was incredibly clean when we arrived.The host and property manager were also fantastic—super responsive, helpful, and easy to get ahold of. The only minor downside for our group of 7 was that there wasn't a ton of comfortable seating for everyone to lounge at once, though we were able to make it work. That said, I would definitely consider staying here again, especially if traveling with a larger group!

Pros:- Comfortable beds- Good water pressure and plenty of hot water- Good location- AC works very well- Two upstairs bedrooms are over-the-top huge as well as their associated bathrooms and are very nice/newly updated- Access to the washer/dryer was very valuable- Appreciated the guacamole, chips and pico de gallo on arrivalCons:- Property didn't fully match the pictures- Some of the bed linens and curtains were dirty/stained- No shampoo/conditioner/body soap in any of the showers- Not enough table seating or living room seating (a table for 4 plus 3 bar stools and one couch that seats 3-4 people only)- 1 out of 3 TVs worked (one connected to internet, one only good for watching DVDs and one didn't work at all)- Dishwasher broken on arrival, fixed the 3rd day there- Hot water wouldn't turn on in one bathroom the day before we left (not a big deal for us, but felt like one more thing)- Water dispenser stopped dispensing cold water (only room temp water) after the 2nd day there- Kitchen is minimally stocked for doing much cooking, not enough bowls, random array (and not enough) cups/glasses, etc.

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for the review. The Casa is definitely built for outdoor living as you pointed out the shortage of indoor seating. The TVs all worked and connected to the internet when I was there last and no other guests said anything so I’ll get on that and the rest. The Casa has had a very busy month so we haven’t had time to take a hard look at things with quick turnovers. We have never supplied shampoo or bath soaps as those are personal preferences. I’m sorry you had this experience and rest assured the concerns above will be addressed

The host was great! Great property if traveling with family. The only thing I would say is the water pressure wasn’t great and there was barely any hot water. We didn’t contact the host about it because it wasn’t the biggest deal, but I’m sure the host would have worked with us to fix the issue.. Thanks again Darrin and staff.

Awesome Views!

This house was as advertised. It was a very clean property and looked like it did in the photos. The beds were very comfy, the A/C worked great and the pool was clean and refreshing. The host does a great job of taking care of you. We had a couple of small issues and once i notified them the issues were taken care of in 2 hours or less. That is unheard of these days. If you are going to Isla i highly recommend staying here, you wont be disappointed.

Wonderful house with breathtaking views!

We stayed here in October 2022 with one other family so there were 9 of us total. The space, location and views are perfect! The sunsets here do not disappoint and you can watch them from one of two balconies! The house was well taken care of and clean. The owner was very responsive and property manager, who is local, was also very lovely and quick to respond to any questions we had. She also did a grocery shopping trip for us before we arrived which was so helpful. Our friends had previously stayed on the north side of the island a couple times so this was both of our first times staying on the south side and we all loved it. Renting golf carts is a must to get around how and when you want, but our families thought that was part of the fun! The house is very close to Punta Sur which is a must-see. We went twice and once for sunrise which was incredible. The only thing to note is that the washer and dryer are not available to guests. Had I known that I would have packed my own beach towels as we weren’t able to wash throughout the week. We would highly recommend this property and consider coming back in the future.

Great place near the southern tip of island

This house is very nice for a large group. I highly recommend if you like being away from the town centro in the north. It’s location cuts both ways. If you want to be away from it all this is the place. If you want to go out and eat then it’s a bit of a hike. Going to the main grocery mid-island is a bit of a journey too. So be prepared with good golf cart service. Rooms are big, bathrooms bigger. Pool is a dipping pool. Great views. Palapa is amazing. Enjoy!

Tranquil and Fun!

What a wonderful property! My group had such a great time spending time at the pool and being close with out being too close to all the wonderful things Isla has to offer. We definitely walked to the local bar more than once simply because it was easy and fun. When any issues arose the property manager was quick with instructions or a solution. Definitely planning another trip soon!

Great house perfect for 8-10 people.

Booking was easy and Darrin(owner) was very responsive in any requests prior to travel. Priority manager was quick to respond to any requests during stay. House is awesome. 4 large bedrooms, 3 in suite bathrooms 1 full bath downstairs next to twin bed room. 1 powder bath next to full kitchen. Dedicated AC in every room. This was great as it kept the house nice and cool. Very spacious house. Great views on 2nd floor and rooftop. Private pool. Only cons we found were that the dishwasher didn’t work as there is a leak between water line and dishwasher. We requested repair but property manager was not able to get someone out during stay. Wasn’t a huge deal we just hand washed everything. The other is the temp of the pool. Would be nice if there was some sort of cover that could absorb some of the sun. It was pretty much like a hot bath. Again, not a show stopper but worth mentioning if you are expecting a refreshing swim away from the beach. It’s in full sun all day so without some sort of cover it’s gonna be hot. Overall would rent again. It’s a nice house.

The house and view were amazing!

The pictures don't do this house and view any justice. Definitely rent golf carts. This house is on the south side of the island and you will need transportation to make the north side.
