Regarding your comments about the rules, we’d like to clarify that all house rules are clearly disclosed in both the listing description and the rental agreement, all of which are visible before booking. The house rules themselves are standard within the vacation rental industry and include common expectations such as occupancy limits, quiet hours, no smoking, and trailer restrictions. Several of these are also regulated by City of Palm Coast ordinances, which we are required to follow. The restriction on trailers is not unique to our property—it is a city code that has always been in place. As for the cancellation, your request came five days before arrival, which was outside our stated cancellation window and did not meet the minimum night stay requirement. We also accommodated an early check-in as a courtesy, and it’s worth noting that no concerns or issues were communicated to us during your stay. For that reason, the rating feels a bit disproportionate. We always encourage guests to carefully read the listing details and house rules prior to booking or reach out with any questions—we’re happy to clarify anything in advance to ensure expectations are aligned.
