Fabulous 2 weeks in great apartment.
Firstly have to thank our host Caroline, whomet us at the gate when we arrived. Showed us around the apartment, with all the relevant information. Inside and outside the house. Also informed us that there was going to be a local public holiday on the Friday and that mostly all the shops including supermarkets would be closed. She also gave us information about the local trams, buses, bars and eateries. There is also a huge amount of toys etc for young children. During our stay she contacted us re. a dangerous weather pattern that occurs every so often. She advised us to stay indoors as can there can be a serious down pour in a short period. Thankfully it didn't happen in our area but did further up the coast.
The apartment is very good, big rooms and a grand seated area out on the patio. There is also a swimming pool but was closed as end of season, the tennis court was available apart from siesta time. Also very close to the sea, we swam most days as temperature was above 22°C, just amazing, beach was excellent and has many children's climbing frames. Just at the beach there are a few restaurants , cafes and bars. Pizza, seafood etc. Very close to tram station which goes to Benidorm or Alicante. Fares can be as low as 90p in the metropolitan area of Alicante. The closest main town is El Campello which has numerous shops, supermarkets, bars, cafes, restaurants and a fab beach. While we were there there was a local 5 day festival, Moors and Christians, lot going on incliding, parades, fireworks, beach landings and a fair with bumper cars and other rides at reasonable prices in comparison nto the UK. We also had a day at Benidorm which is a very lively busy tourist destination and Alicante which is a great city for walking about. Including the harbour area and the Central Market to name a couple. If travelling on a budget you can use tram and bus to get to airport very cheaply compared to a taxi.
While at apartment we used the outdoor area a lot as enjoyed eating our meals there, the kitchen is well equipped and has a decent size fridge, for the 2 weeks in October we had very decent weather, we had some rain but all days were over 22°C. We all felt the the apartment was great base to travel about from. Would recommend this apartment any party. Just fab. 😎😎😎😎😎😎
