Beautiful chalet and great location

We had an amazing holiday in Alpe D’Huez partly thanks to this lovely accommodation. The chalet is very spacious and comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. It is just a few steps away from a boulangerie, ski rental and 2 lifts that take you to the 2 main ski areas. We would recommend heading to Les Bergers from the chalet - it is quicker! We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Formidable

Tout est génial, de la décoration (chic et authentique) à l'équipement très complet et haut de gamme (alliant modernité et tradition), en passant par l'emplacement du chalet au coeur du Vieil Alpe (pratique pour l'accès aux pistes via l'Alpe Express), sans compter la possibilité de se garer facilement. Le propriétaire, Jean Orcel, très sympa, disponible et efficace pour toute demande. Superbes vacances !

Fantastic chalet!

Really great chalet, with loads of character and very well appointed. Large living area was brilliant. Perfect for our group of two families with older teens. Location is fantastic - two lifts within 50m and shops, ski hire, ski pass office, bars, restaurants (some really excellent, especially Le Genepi and La Cremailler) all on the door step. The host, Jean, was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Overall, an excellent chalet and highly recommended.

New Year Stay

Great communication from Jean throughout and answered questions about our stay promptly. Beautifully renovated chalet with high end appliances in a fantastic location to ski. Our two family’s had any amazing New Year in this lovely chalet.

fantastic!

This place is amazing. It’s comfortable, there was plenty of lounging spaces and beds for our 2 families of five each. Well situated, we never used our rental cars after arriving. Well stocked home, although it’s customary to purchase your own toilet paper after using the rolls provided. Otherwise there were oils and spices and laundry detergent, soaps for showering. We also had to purchase our own trash bags. Jean is a very nice host, speaks perfect english. He was helpful and showed us around the home upon our arrival and gave us a lot of suggestions. The town itself is dreamy, incredible views, friendly people, excellent food. We had children ages 3-10 with us and had plenty to do. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Absolutely fabulous

i cannot stress enough how beautiful and modern the house is. We loved every minute of our stay. Jean is ever so helpful - he lives in the village and answers promptly when you have queries. Despite the sauna being broken, which, due to Corona and holidays was not possible to be fixed in time, we had a great time. the house is clean,spacious and extremely well outfitted. we'd love to come back

Amazing place !!

We stayed for a week at Silver Rock Chalet. This place is absolutely amazing. We were the second guests staying. The chalet has been completely refurbished with all amenities you need and even more ! The 4 bedrooms are wonderful and 3 great bathrooms. The sauna was very appreciated ! The chalet is located in the old part of Alpe d’Huez. Very charming and quiet area. 2 minutes away from major shops, restaurant and access to the slopes. The booking was extremely easy as well as the check out. The property managers were very helpful with immediate reaction when needed. This place is therefore highly recommended. We will be back ! Thank you for this wonderful stay.
