There is a spectacular chlorine-free 'infinity swimming pool', 13 x 7 m (NOT FENCED), with outdoor hot shower. Beautifully set up around the pool are high quality loungers and parasols. All overlooks glorious sunsets.

It's a bright space with large French windows and direct access to the garden (with terrace, deck chairs, table and chairs).

THE AREA
The dramatic mountain scenery, the multitude of beaches around the coast (over 190 if you care to count them all), and the network of underground springs that feed its semi-tropical vegetation keeping it lush and green, has ensured that Elba, unlike some of its more rocky Italian sister islands, continues to have a great allure. Famously, Napoleon, given the choice of a number of islands on which to spend his time in exile after his abdication, chose Elba for the gentleness of its climate and people.

Sunset Villa, with its superb beach access, is located ten miles to the South of the capital of Portoferraio, close to the village of Capoliveri, on the slopes of Monte Calamita. You may find yourself quickly drawn into the very pleasant routine of venturing up to the village for a morning cappuccino and some pastries purchased from one of the many sweet-smelling bakeries.

If you stay for a wandering around, you will find that Capoliveri is very pretty with two bright, central piazzas, teeming with cafés and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The maze of characterful little streets off the Via Roma are traffic-free, narrow and steep. Stone archways give way to sudden sunlit piazzas and striking views of the mountains or cobalt blue waters.

Sunset Villa is one part of a detached holiday residence. It is set in a very peaceful spot on a green hillside, which welcomes you with the sweet scents of rosemary, broom and eucalyptus. The hill slopes down to the nearby bay.    
Here, you'll find the coastline laced with small, secluded beaches and, like generations before you, you'll be delighted by the rocky terrain and crystal blue color of the Mediterranean Sea. When you arrive, you'll find your eye drawn to the west, towards Corsica and some truly spectacular sunsets.

BEACH AND SURROUNDING
The beach is just a two minutes' walk down a sloping path. Once at the beach, follow a path near the sea, past natural pools carved into the rock. (hence "Maretto, or little sea" is the name of this path). Eventually, you'll come to a diving station on the beach of Madonna delle Grazie and, shortly further, to a tennis court.

Nearby the villa, there are natural beaches (like Barabarca,) and equipped beaches (like Zuccale, Lido di Capoliveri) with deckchairs and sun umbrellas, rubber boats, pedal boats, windsurfing, and jet skis.

For your shopping, the supermarket and the town of Capoliveri is 2 km away (a 20 minutes walk); from the villa there is a path leading into town (also about 20 minutes).

The area offers everything: walks in the woods, hills, archaeological sites, old mines, wonderful beaches, museums, sports (golf, sailing, canoeing, tennis ...). It is necessary to have the car
