The photos are deceiving. The place looks tired, soft furnishing is old and tatty.

It is definitely overpriced for the condition it is in. We were so disappointed that we nearly left on the first day. Before you book, check these places out first.

We had a wonderful week together on Gozo, and especially in this house. What a beautiful island with wonderful weather, stunning scenery, and a rich history. We haven't been able to see everything yet. One point of concern for us was the shower. It's great that you addressed it quickly. Unfortunately, the shower head still doesn't fit properly on the thread. It would also be nice if there were more cutlery for 10 people. On the other hand, there's an oven, combination microwave, and oven, which is very convenient. Other positive points include our communication and the pool. The pool was wonderful. We also really appreciated the personal touch with the white wine.

Very nice house,but the pool area were a lot smaller then the photo… to my disappointment. I wish I had booked my sisters house next door instead but that’s my mistake…// Karin

Our week at Maria’s farmhouse was just fantastic! We found there exactly what we were looking for —authentic maltese atmosphere. Pool and bus stop streight at front door were bonus. Surrounding is quiet, yet so close to Victoria.It was perfect place to stay for a group of 6 as farmhouse gives spacious room for activities together and a lot of privacy when needed. Hostess Maria organized for us transfer from airport to farmhouse (and back), greeted us upon our arrival pretty late late night and had took care that we won’t go to bed hungry. During our stay she surprised us also with good gozitan wines.Some notes for those who are afraid of distance from attractions on main island. Yes, it takes more time and a bit more money to travel around there, but everything is still doable and the cost of transportation is compensated by in general cheaper prices for accommodation. Our longest day trip was to Marsaxlokk sunday market without any extra effort.Last but not least: staying on Gozo take a day for a boat trip around the island. It was one of the highlights of our trip to see the island from the sea what gave totally different scenic views. Closest harbour is Xlendi and one can find there boat trips for any taste.

Wir haben wunderschöne Tage in dem Haus verbracht, welches sehr großzügig und landestypisch eingerichtet ist. Die Vermieterin Maria war sehr nett und immer erreichbar. Mit einem Gastgeschenk hat sie uns willkommen geheißen. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet mit Geschirrspüler, Gasherd und großen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierschrank. Trotz das wir mit 2Fahrzeugen da waren, hatten wir in der Nähe Parkmöglichkeiten. Die Bushaltestelle befindet sich vor der Tür und in 20min ist man zu Fuß am Busbahnhof bzw. im Zentrum. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem sehr schönen Haus. Maria hat uns herzlich begrüßt und gab uns immer hilfreiche Tipps. Alles war sauber und funktionierte einwandfrei. Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen und man kann die Insel in alle Richtungen in 20 Minuten erreichen. Es gibt einen Supermarkt und einen Bäcker nur 600 Meter entfernt. Das Haus hat eine ganz besondere Ausstrahlung und verzaubert einen. Sehr zu empfehlen für Familien.

Lovely house not too far from Victoria

Lovely house - over 3 stories with typical bedrooms and ample space - lovely farmhouse character! The pool is gorgeous but it was a little too cold to jump in - the weather was rather windy but we had sunshine! Kitchen has all that is needed To cater for a big family and each bedroom has a bathroom - perfect! Sweet Little courtyard to have a BBQ - again too windy and love but in the summer would be wonderful! Air conditioning in all bedrooms - only thing I would change is air conditioning for heating in the lounge / dining area too as it was really cold in the evenings - but with warm clothes and the blankets we were ok! Will come again - easy to travel to as bus directly in front of the door!

Tolles Haus mit vielen Möglichkeiten

Sehr grosszügiges, sauberes und gepflegtes Haus in ländlicher Umgebung. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar (5 Min), die Bushaltestelle ist unmittelbar vor dem Haus, womit sich die Insel auch ohne Mitewagen bestens erkunden lässt. Die Dachterrassse bietet eine herrliche Aussicht auf die Umgebung, die Zimmer sind alle grosszügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Pool war sauber, gepflegt und ideal für eine Abkühlung zwischendurch. Die Gastgeberin. Maria, empfing uns überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da wir spätabends ankamen, waren wir froh, dass Maria bereits für das Fühstück eingekauft hatte. Leider schrumpfte unsere Grossfamilie aufgrund der Corona Einreise Restriktionen auf vier Leute, so dass das Haus für uns etwas zu gross war. In diesem tollen Haus kann man gut in einer Gruppe von 7-10 Personen tolle, erholsame Ferien geniessen. Wenn reisen wieder einfacher wird, werden wir wieder kommen. Vielen Dank!

Lovely property

Had a really lovely time here. We were a group of 7 adults in a family group. We had loads of space and very good facilities. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was excellent and very welcome! The location was very central to everywhere on Gozo and Maria was very helpful facilitating car rental and airport transfers. Would love to go back!

Special stay in Gozo

Lovely place to stay , plenty of room for everyone, all bedrooms ensuite, amazing value , clean throughout, Maria very helpful and easy to communicate with. If you love the Maltese farmhouse style this will be your perfect villa. Centre of Gozo and beaches only minutes away by car, we often walked. Bar and supermarket just down the road, Davids Bakery also close and delicious! loved the pool courtyard and the view from the roof terrace. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway

This farmhouse was fantastic, exactly as described with a lovely pool on ground floor and rooftop terrace. Located in central Gozo, is a very quiet, relaxing and peaceful area. You will require a car or some form of transport to get around. Maria was a fantastic host who arranged transport to and from airport in mini bus and also arranged a hire car for us through local service which was fantastic. She also let us stay in another farmhouse on last day until our flight later that evening. Travellers should just bear in mind that the place has no aircon unlike her others but this is not something that upset our stay. Farmhouse is highly recommended and would use again and recommend to friends and family!

Traumhaftes, altes, maltesisches Haus,für uns als Großfamilie einfach optimal gewesen. Die Terrasse bietet eine weite Sicht über fast die gesamte Insel, der Pool war das Highlight für unsere Kinder. Hier würden wir gerne wieder kommen. @Maria: thank you for your hospitality and the nice stay on Gozo !

Wunderbar erholsam...

Wir waren mit unseren drei Kindern 8,11 und 13 Jahre in diesem tollen Haus und haben jeden Moment genossen. Der Pool war natürlich der Hammer, die großzügigkeit des Hauses über 3 Etagen mit Dachterrasse hatte für jeden den passenden Lieblingsplatz! Die Vermieterin war sehr zuvorkommend, hatte uns Milch und Butter in Kühlschrank gelegt, Brot und Kaffe so wie Tee standen für den Anfang zur Verfügung. Am nächsten Abend gab es noch einheimisches Bier... (-: Bei der Sauberkeit hätten wir vielleicht etwas mehr erwartet, aber wir waren schließlich zum erholen da und nicht zum meckern!!! Die Hühner der Nachbarn haben uns davon abgehalten den wunderbaren Sonnenaufgang zu verschlafen... (-; Also alles in allem wer nicht auf Massentourismus und Hotelwahn steht kann es hier sehr gut haben. Wir hatten es .... Vielen Dank....

Urlaub wie in einer Burg

Wir waren zu acht (4 Pärchen) in diesem wunderschönen Bauernhaus und sind nach wie vor begeistert davon. WIr fühlten uns von Anfang an wohl und können fast nur Positives berichten. Zunächst hatten wir aufgrund gelesener Bewertungen Angst, dass der Pool zu klein sein könnte, dies war jedoch absolut nicht der Fall. Wir verbrachten mehrere Tage komplett am Pool, ein Platzproblem gab es hier nicht. Von Kercem aus erreicht man jeden Ort auf der Insel in kurzer Zeit. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe, teilweise sogar zu Fuß erreichbar. Maria war eine sehr angenehme Gastgeberin. Als wir mitten in der Nacht ankamen, war das Haus mit Pool hell erleuchtet und wir hatten keine Schwierigkeiten bei der Anreise - auch mit dem Shuttle vom Flughafen zur Unterkunft passte alles. Maria hieß uns am nächsten Morgen herzlich willkommen und fragte, ob wir noch etwas benötigten. Über sie konnten wir auch Mietwagen buchen. Außerdem brachte sie uns als Aufmerksamkeit Bier vorbei, was uns alle sehr freute. Nach der Hälfte unserer Aufenthaltszeit wurde das komplette Haus durchgeputzt und die Handtücher sowie Bettwäsche wurden ausgetauscht. Außerdem sah regelmäßig jemand nach dem Pool und reinigte diesen. Für uns 8 war der Platz absolut ausreichend. Als besonders positiv empfanden wir, dass jedes Schlafzimmer sein eigenes Badezimmer mit Dusche hatte - sowie ein extra Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss (was besonders nützlich war, wenn man gerade im Pool war und nicht durch das ganze Haus laufen wollte). Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen in Marias Unterkunft und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Lovely owners and a beautiful farmhouse

This is the second farm house we have rented from Maria and we were once again delighted with the farm house. The bedrooms in Ta'Grez are very spacious although the beds could do with updating and the pool is a little gem with the sunshine hitting it from 10am till about 4pm... this was our little haven after various walks around the island. Maria was very quick to sort any issues and was an excellent host. We were so delighted with our stay that we shall be returning for the third time next year and we are very much looking forward to it. A big thank you to Maria for sorting the hire of a jeep and for arranging our transfers. I would highly recommend any of Maria's farm houses as she will ensure your stay is wonderful.

Nicht wie erwartet

Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig, wir haben erst einmal die Bäder und vor allem Toiletten geputzt. Auch liegt das Haus leider ziemlich „ab vom Schuss“, ruhig ist es dort aber trotzdem nicht. Abgesehen von der Geräuschkulisse mitten im Wohngebiet wohnen neben an Hühner, die die ganze Nacht (ab 1:00 Uhr morgens!) ohrenbetäubend krähen. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin gestaltete sich etwas schwierig (Ältere Dame, Rückmeldungen dauerten teilweise lange, Verständnis englische Sprache) Die Betten sind leider sehr unbequem. Der Pool ist sehr klein (Wirkt auf dem Bild größer).
