With two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, the living room is on the first floor which offers a wonderful view from the balcony - peaceful, serene green rolling hills (with cows and sheep) looking up to 1500 Castle Auchindoun. One could not have asked for a better setting to unwind. The accommodation is well designed, in excellent decorative order, sparkling clean, and provides everything one could hope for and more. I would not want to change anything. On arrival, we found everything we need for the following morning including tea/ coffee (standard & decaffinated), milk, biscuits, butter, Malted Brown Multi Seeded loaf (rather than a plain white loaf) and even a bottle of Virgin Olive Oil ! All the toiletry are also there, bath towels, hairdryer. For the drinker, there is a bottle of Malt Whiskey. Essentially, one does not need to bring anything except one's personal clothing - and even dressing gowns are provided. It just goes to show how thoughtful the hosts are. I would go to say Colin and Penny represent the "model hosts" ! They respond to any "pre-arrival" queries within 24 hours; well documented directions and arrival instructions. The leaflets and printed information provided were also very informative. Upon arrival, Colin & Penny were there whenever we wish to raise an issue, take benefit of their local knowledge or simply to have a friendly chat ! We did have a good chat because we "pre-retirement professional interests." However, Colin and Penny know where to draw the line and leave us "in peace" and have never knocked on our door during our one week stay. I can go on .... We will certainly stay with Colin and Penny when we visit that part of Scotland. I have no hesitation at all to recommend their holiday accommodation.
