40th Anniversary

The resort is beautiful and immaculately clean and well maintained. The casita is in a great location but has outdated, worn carpet which did not align with the high standard of the rest of the property. We still very much enjoyed our stay!

Terranea is AMAZING!

Everything about this resort is amazing! Great location, beautiful views, delicious restaurants, live music on weekends, fabulous spa, multiple pools to accommodate everyone’s preferences (we picked the adult pool with DJ and bar), and fun activities (like paddle boarding and walking the bluffs). We strongly recommend!

Everything was almost perfect. We requested clean towels and the bed to be made daily. This was not done. This should be included while staying at a luxury resort.

Wonderful setting

The property and casita are beautiful However our casita was not available at our check in time of 4:00 pm. On another day after returning to our room after a full day out our room was not made up and no towels. Had to call front desk for towels.

Overall a great time

We had a great time at the Terranea, the resort is beautiful and we spent a good amount of time by the pool. Pros: easy check in/check out, great parking spot outside the apartment, ocean view, quiet neighbors, the location is amazing - a couple minutes walk to most things (pool, restaurants, lobby). Cons: furniture/mattress needs updating, ceiling light bulb needs replacing, A/C unit makes a loud banging/clanking noise behind the wall whenever it shuts off by itself, which is ~10-20 times throughout the night.

Perfect getaway

A wonderful, peaceful, quiet, and Covid-friendly getaway. If you're familiar with the Terranea property, this casita is the first one located just left of the path that skirts Mar'sel restaurant (so quite close to the Vista pool, when it's able to open again). The unit is accessed from outside, which is particularly appealing during Covid times- no shared interior hallways to traverse! There is a shared outdoor fireplace in the entryway, which I took advantage of one afternoon and never saw another person. The unit is clean, comfortable, and with a lovely oceanview balcony. The layout is different than a resort room, but with all the same components (and a few more, like in-room iron and air mattress). Overall, I had a wonderful stay and can't thank Beth enough for her hospitality.

Great Stay at Terranea

Terranea is a magnificent property on the California coast with unparalleled views. It has very convenient access to LA attractions. The property has excellent pools and a beautiful executive golf course. Beth, the host, was responsive and helpful. Everything was as advertised. I stayed in the 1BR casita room, and it was in excellent condition and cleanliness. The only negatives I could raise had nothing to do with the host - Terranea appears to have a shortage of workers in these times. That is probably true for most hotels, and more acute for large resorts with many employees and services. In any case, Beth was a pleasure and accommodated my questions and requests. I organized my stay on short notice, so I was very appreciative. The Casita is closest to the Vista, Family, and Spa pools and it has reserved parking right in front of the Casita. The room has a private entrance so you do not need to walk through an indoor lobby or hallway to get to the room. That made me feel a bit more comfortable with regards to pandemic safety. Thanks to Beth for a great stay!

Beautiful Stay at Less-Than-Resort Prices

It was wonderful to stay at the beautiful Terrenea resort and have use of all its amenities. This spacious room is conveniently located near pools, golf, oceanside paths, resort lobby and restaurants. Owners were very responsive to our inquiries before we booked the stay. Note that there are daily parking and resort fees added to the rental price. We would stay here again.

Good Stay

I’ve stayed at Terrenea several times in the past. I knew what to expect. We like the peaceful area. This casita is good for two people. One thing, this casita is located right next to a busy pathway which is frequented at all hours by guests but also by very noisy staff metal carts. If you’re a light sleeper, this can be an issue as we were woken several time each night. Otherwise, good stay.

Lovely resort conveniently located to Los Angelos

Terranea is a big and beautiful resort with views of the Pacific Ocean from the entire length of the property. This makes for some lovely walks as there are scenic paths everywhere. The condo itself is very nicely appointed and conveniently located to the main building of the resort. Because it is part of such a large property or perhaps because it is privately owned, we did not received the daily housekeeping services. While they were apologetic that we had been overlooked, I had to make several follow up calls before someone arrived with fresh towels and to make up the room.
