I moved to the mountains 5 years ago so I can regroup and get away from a stressful life in the city. Many of my friends in LA told me that nothing can be resolved by running away. Although that might be true, I felt like it wasn't really much about running away, but rather it was more about coming home to myself. Adelaide Hill was born out of that homing instinct. This part of the world is truly filled with energy. All of nature, the sound of the wind through the pines, the three-note call of a bird, the crack of lightning followed by a long, low rumble as the jagged light rips across the sky, the full moon rising, the last red-orange rays before twilight... all of nature is really an invitation for us to remember ourselves. Eventually, I returned to the realities of living in LA. But having Adelaide Hill as a second home has made my life richer, more manageable, more peaceful and more joyful. I am happy to share this sanctuary with you. I hope that Adelaide Hill gives us all an opportunity to play, to remember, to heal, to commune with nature, to rest, and to slow down, so our souls can catch up with us.
