「Digey」という名前がどこから来るのかは定かではありませんが、1つの理論はそれがボートの帆が染められた染まる家を意味する染まることに由来します。

The Garth - Perfect Cottages, Perfect Location

I booked all three cottages - Juliot, Iris, Wella - for my recent trip to St Ives, for myself and friends (7 of us in total). It was our first girls trip away together and we could not have asked for anything more perfect for our group. All three cottages are well looked after, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and have great amenities. Every detail is well thought out. There is a plethora of information available within the cottages regarding its amenities, etc. The cottages are right in the centre of all the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches. However, because they are set back from the street slightly you feel as if you are in your own private bubble. I had read reviews regarding the carpark being a bit of a trek (about 25 minutes walk) and not ideal for some to walk due to the uphill location. Whilst we found that it was okay on the way from the carpark to the cottages, when we walked from the cottages back up to the carpark, we certainly found it a work out - and we’re used to walking miles. With luggage in tow, it was hard work. Therefore, on the day we left we decided that the drivers would walk up and get the cars from the carpark and the rest of the group walked to the St Ives Laundrette, which was about 10 minutes walk from the cottages. We were able to drive down to the laundrette, pick everyone up and turn the cars around easily. Something we will remember to do on our next visit! Myself and my group would definitely recommend staying here. Such a beautiful place and location.

Most Amazing property in a perfect location

We were so lucky to stay at the Garth this summer. Myself and my family were overwhelmed with how beautiful and well designed all 3 properties were. All details had been thought of and everything you needed was to hand. The interior design was exceptional and carefully thought through to make it an enjoyable stay. The courtyard was secure for our children. The owners were prompt to reply to any queries in the lead up to us going. The cleaners on the day of arrival were also friendly and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. We would absolutely recommend staying here, it’s a perfect property in the best location. Thank you!

Celebrations at The Garth

The Garth was our base for our group celebrating a special Birthday. All three cottages are stunning , spotlessly clean and right in the heart of St Ives. Iris, with the large dining table, was perfect for our group to get together at meal times, what a wonderful way to celebrate! We would definitely recommend all three cottages.

Accommodation for 10 with the wow factor

The Garth was the perfect accommodation for our group, the cottages were very clean and well equipped and each one is spacious, private and individual in style. The fixtures, fittings and furniture are well considered and well thought out and of a high quality. The weather was mixed during our stay but when the weather was good it was nice to get together in the gated communal courtyard. We found both Wella and Iris were big enough for us to get together in too. There was a young child on our trip and we had everything we needed with a travel cot and high chair etc. There were even some toys in the lounge areas which went down brilliantly! I love St Ives and when I come back I'll make sure it is in one of these wonderful cottages.

I grew up in Stockton on Tees the centre of the industrial north east. The greatest event of the year for myself, my brother and sister was the annual trip to St Ives for our summer holiday, despite the long drive and the constant “Dad are we nearly there yet”, the first view of the beautiful bay as you come into the town never failed to take our breath away and fill us with excitement for the days ahead. Those holidays gave me such fond memories, I wanted to re-create the experience for my son and grandson, so in 2015 I purchased the three cottages which were in a near derelict condition with the vision of creating some wonderful holiday cottages where the magic could be shared not only with friends and family but also our valued guests. Today we still come to St Ives for our Summer holiday and what a joy it is to see my mother and father spending time on the beach with their children, grandchildren and 5 year old great grandson. We hope you enjoy the living spaces we have provided and that you can create some wonderful memories of your own with your friends and families.

The cottages were purchased in 2015 due to their prime location on the prettiest and most photographed street in St Ives. The properties were in a near derelict condition and sadly in need of lots of tender loving care.
It was our vision to transform the cottages into beautiful spaces where holiday makers could enjoy time out in luxury surroundings. Over a two-year period, we slowly and on occasions painfully, saw our initial concept transformed into reality with the creation of Iris, Wella and Juliot.
With the renovations completed in early 2018 we are delighted to offer visitors to St Ives the opportunity to relax in complete luxury and enjoy the stunning surroundings that our transformation team have created. We truly hope you live our dream…
