This place is beautiful! It offers the full opulence of the past century. Dark parquet, custom made furniture, solid wood doors... It's definitely high quality, perfectly maintained, like I haven't seen in 30 years. It's like jumping back in time! Unfortunately, that last statement is true both for the pros and for the cons. The main thing that bothered us a lot was THE LACK OF WIFI. We have not stayed in a place without WiFi in a very long time. The fact that this listing does not say that it has no WiFi is, IMO, dishonest. It is a minimum expected amenity these days, like a fridge and a toilet. Our phone's internet didn't work well in this apartment so we spent a frustrating week whenever we wanted to get anything done on the laptop. And of course, there was no way to watch Netflix either. Also a jump in the past: I don't remember the last time I saw a 70W fluorescent tube lighting up a kitchen! It's so wasteful.Same for the water. No aerators in the faucets and shower make for *a lot* of water flow. It's enjoyable in the shower, but simply wasteful everywhere else.Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't book.I would have given it a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the lack of WiFi. I want this review to be the warning that should be in the listing: CAREFUL: NO WIFI! And if you care about the environment, think twice.Other than that, it's fully recommended.
