We booked this place for my parents anniversary months in advance. We got a call as we were 2 hours away and were informed our rental has been cancelled due to a safety issue but no other explanation.

Nice cabin lots of room. My dad got run off the road by a red dump truck doing construction in Shagbark, so most of one day was spent waiting on roadside service and the next day driving to Alcoa to get the car. But other than that it was a great trip! Nice property

The property was very clean & pretty. It had everything we needed for our stay. The veiws were beautiful! Communication with Fireside was great. They sent all the information on email & when talking to them on the phone they were very nice & helpful. The only down side was the tricky driveway. We had to drive up the road & turn around to get into the driveway. I would definitely recommend Katie's lodge!

Great place!

Our large group of 15 had a great time! We had no issues and there was excellent communication when we needed sowmthing or had a question! Would stay here again!

Great vacation.

This was a beautiful cabin, very spacious. Really clean besides behind facet in one of the bathrooms was some mold. All in all it was a great cabin to stay in. Definitely recommend this cabin.

Friends Weekend

What a great gathering place. We had a group of friend and spouses gather this weekend. The house had all we needed for pricacy and comfort. Definitely looking to come back again.

Booking was easy, but you do not receive a house address until after check in time. I understand not providing a key code until check in, but for out of town guests trying to find their way, it's frustrating not to have a GPS address. I had to call at 4pm to request the address and Anna @ Fireside Chalets said she needed to call the cleaning company to confirm if the house was ready. She then called me back and sent me the address, after confirming the house was clean. We arrived around 6pm and the house was NOT clean. Dirty linens, towels, bathrooms, etc. There is no AT&T cell service at the house, so after using someone else's phone, we notified Fireside Chalets and they insisted they would send someone out. They did, but the cleaners failed to leave clean bath towels for 2 out of 6 bedrooms and did not leave linens for the sleeper sofa. I had to call the after hours service twice, requesting these items. We received the sleeper sofa linens sometime after 11:15pm (we put the kids needing the sleeper sofa on the couch that night and went to bed). We never received clean towels for the main level bathrooms and just used our pool towels instead. The bear proof outdoor trash cans were full upon arrival and Fireside expected us to bring any additional trash all the way into town (20 min!) to their dumpster. A doorknob upstairs falls off, deck door doesn't lock, coffee maker didn't work, barely enough utensils. Sent an email to Fireside Chalets with multiple pictures. No response

Great Cabin to stay in

We had a large group of family and friends staying at the cabin for my sons wedding. We had the best time at the cabin. Kitchen was equipped with everyrhing you would need to cook a meal. Plenty of riom for everyone. Great place to stay.

Family trip

Our family enjoyed the spaciousness of the cabin and the views. The cabin was clean and well stocked in the kitchen to provided everything that we needed for cooking for a large group. The highlight was having a bear come up onto the porch by the kitchen door.

Beautiful Cabin in the Mountains

We had an amazing time staying at Katie's Lodge. The property is managed by Fireside Chalets, and everyone there was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here with 14 family members ages 13-76, and we had plenty of space, great bedrooms, bathrooms, and fun. It was easy to cook in the kitchen, share meals around the two tables, and play games. The teens loved hanging out in the basement with the pool table and big TV. The bunk beds were a little short for the 3 tall teen boys. However, they slept diagonally and made it work. There would've been plenty of room on couches too, but they had a better time sharing the triple bunk. Everything was very clean, and overall a great place to stay. We spent time at the Great Smoky Mountains NP, and enjoyed the sunsets and the beautiful view from the multi-level decks. The pool was a bonus, along with the hot tub. The driveway is steep, and not easy to find in the dark - but it's doable. We did have to purchase shampoo, conditioner and soap - as they had some small samples, but not enough for everyone. The cabin is very private, and we would highly recommend staying here, and would love to visit again.

Family Christmas

The property is everything stated in the description; I would have appreciated cleaner things (linens, etc.) Any issues we had were handled very efficiently by Fireside Chalet. We had a large group of 17 adults and a 16-month-old. This property was not set up for children; I know how to look for that from now on. Bring more trash bags and towels. We loved the cabin being decorated for the holidays. The location was great!

Great experience.

We had a great time definitely coming back!! Very please with everything in general, we did found some dishes that needed to be clean but order than that everything was nice, the communication with property Manager was excellent.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Love spending time with all the Kids and Grands. This Cabin is huge, very clean, absolutely beautiful. We had a Mama Bear and 3 cubs take a stroll thru the front yard. This cabin is amazing and absolutely the best price around for 6 bedroom- 6 Bath!!! WE Definitely will be back to this cabin, the best we have ever rented!!

Russell family getaway

We had a little family getaway with my parents, my brother and some of his family, and two special cousins from Virginia. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of room for a large group. There are awesome views from multiple points of the cabin. It was decorated very nice. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others for large groups.

What a place ! Wow we had the best stay of our life.

Chalet(Katie’s Cabin) was awesome In the middle of woods, walk down the valley was like heaven with streams flowing through the pebbles surrounded by beautiful flowers. Kids enjoyed the hot tub, pool room, they had a ball. Even the surrounding places were beautiful once you come out of gated community Shops were not that far, Pigeon forge was in reasonable distance Net net it was a ideal location and very satisfactory cabin

AMAZING !!!

The WHOLE cabin was nothing short of amazing! The way it was so comfortable and was exactly how the web page described and showed made it even better. Really the pictures does no justice because it's even better in person !!!

Good location

Good location, but the checkin process wasn’t nice. The security guard on the gate was very rude even though he had our car’s and driver’s information.
