A beautiful old cottage on top op a hill overlooking Porthmadog and the mountains.

Shops nearby and a short walk to the Main Street and harbor. The cottage offered everything we needed for out one week stay. It's quite old and might lack the comfort of a more modern house, but you get a lot of authenticity in return. The owner was very kind and helpfull (thanks for the eggs and cookies!). We had a great stay here and it's a perfect place to explore the North-west of Wales.

Good and bad

The property was in an excellent location, but we needed to set to and clean/vacuum right through the house. Every single room had spiders hanging from the ceiling or cobwebs in corners. The bedding was well used and needed replacing. We used a damp mop to go round the walls and ceiling. Such a shame as the house was nice, spacious and comfortable.

Three bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x double with extra single, 1 x ground floor single. Hairdryers in both upstairs rooms. Ground floor bathroom with shower, wash basin and WC. Bathroom with bath and shower over, WC and hand wash basin. Kitchen/diner with white modern kitchen units, microwave, electric hob and eye level oven. Note: There is some distance and steps from the ground floor bedroom to ground floor bathroom. Sitting room with sofas, flatscreen TV, DVD & video player, piano, stone inglenook fireplace with electric fire. Snug/reading area with easy chair and books. Lawned, private garden (not enclosed) with garden furniture. Gravelled parking area for 2/3 cars.

Flat Screen Tv with DVD player, WiFi, Bed linen and towels are included, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, Tassimo Coffee machine, off road parking, electric fire, books. Short drive to all local amenities.
Note: This is an old property, quirky with wobbly walls & bags of character - may not suit people who enjoy the clean lines of modern properties.
Note: Please be aware due to the age of the property, there house is on numerous levels and has the odd step or two internally.
