This unit was fine for the needs of our group - 2 families of 4 with young children for a 2 night break. It was reasonably clean, well equipped and ok value compared to what else was available over the May bank holiday.
Improvements neede
1) Park dean resorts advertises facilities such as indoor and outdoor swimming pools and mini golf. However, except for the kids playground to use all other facilities you need a paid for leisure pass. I rang the booking agent to find out prices (couldn’t tell me), Park Dean (no option on automated voice system for this and couldn't find an option that would let me speak to a person) & no info when Googled - why Park Dean need to make this such top secret info is beyond me but it made it impossible to plan our time in advance.
Turns out the pass works out good value if you’re there for a week (£15 adults / £12 kids). But if you’re there for 1 or 2 days you get just 10% off and the crazy golf was not open. So if like us you want to go for 1 family swim you need to pay £48.60 for the pleasure - or go to a better local leisure centre with slides etc for half the price!! Come on Park Dean, makes zero sense!!!!
2) It was windy when we stayed and the creaking sounds coming from the unit were really disruptive for sleep
3) Whilst the unit had been cleaned it wouldn’t meet the cleanliness standards of a lot of people. Corners, shelves, window frames etc haven’t seen a cloth for a long time and mattress protectors were grim
