Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

Great location for a trip to the McMinville area for wineries and Portland for family time. Listing matches the actual property, everything was perfect. We appreciated the local recommendations in the host guide. Highly recommend!

Clean and Convenient!

Loved our stay with Lisa. Was close enough in town and she was so responsive and easy to work with! Initially we thought we’d have to check in early and she was beyond accommodating! Would stay here again!

Perfect wine-country retreat

This home was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of charm and retro style. Plenty of room for the two of us. Located in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Fun to look out the window and see the chickens free-ranging. The owner-supplied coffee was fabulous. Would definitely stay here again.

Just perfect!

Wonderful little cottage. Had everything we needed for our short stay and then some. The owners were friendly and helpful and the area is nice. Especially enjoyed saying hello to Chick Norris.

Great location

Met the owner and his daughter (and Jango the dog) really nice! Ate at Humble Spirit for dinner- have the meatballs and shrimp- absolutely yummy! Property Has everything you need and they had some fun with the decor! Would recommend!

Comfortable, cozy cottage

This was my second stay at this property. The cottage itself is a perfect blend of comfort and style. Tastefully decorated, it exudes warmth and coziness. The kitchenette is equipped with the necessities but when in McMinnville, it's always fun to explore some of the wonderful local restaurants. I personally haven't used the outdoor space but there's a comfortable seating area and a large back yard with a gorgeous, old redwood tree as the centerpiece. This cozy cottage is a hidden gem. It's the perfect retreat for a single person or couple looking to relax, enjoy picturesque landscapes and indulge in world-class wine. Highly recommend!

Lovely Property, Friendly Hosts, Great Location

My husband and I stayed at the Redwood for a long weekend. We were in town from Philadelphia to celebrate the wedding of a close friend, and built in a few extra days to explore Portland, wine country, and the charming town of McMinville. Everything about our stay was perfect. The Redwood is comfy, cozy, and stylish and the location can't be beat. The hosts were friendly and accommodating to our unexpected late arrival. Highly recommend!

Very cute little mother-in-law suite. Homeowner was kind & attentive, and checked in with me to make sure the room was ok. Separate entrance to unit ensured an extra sense of privacy. They have a sweet pup that really enjoyed being pet.

Oasis in Oregon

This is a lovely cottage located behind the owners' home. The photos were a mirror image of what I saw when I walked in the door, which is not always the case. Everything was very clean and organized and Lisa answered all my text messages very quickly. And, she even brought me fresh picked blueberries from their garden!

Little place

Much smaller than the picture but clean and neat. The grass needed to be cut very badly. Beautiful redwoods in the backyard. Owners on premises but never seen. OK since there is not much available who takes pets.

Very clean and convenient to downtown

We found the unit had everything we needed for a three night stay. It was clean, and appointed adequately. The only complaint is the size of the shower. My husband is quite tall and found it hard to maneuver. I realize it is a small unit so understand why the shower is this size. We usually like to enjoy some outdoor space also, but found this wasn’t comfortably available.

Cozy place

Pros: location, cleanliness, amenities. Suggestions: Just some little things. Put a handle on the gate. It’s difficult to close from the outside as is. Move the hanging plant in the bedroom. It makes banging your shin on the corner of the bed more likely. The Roku remote didn’t work properly sometimes and the streaming buffered badly the first night on Netflix. It worked better when I logged into my Prime Video account. But there was always a lag between the time you press a button and the response on the screen. Weak stream from the shower head. Consider removing the restrictor from it. Also, it takes quite a while for the water to get hot. Sorry if this sounds like a lot. We really did enjoy our stay.

Cozy stay with thoughtful touches.

Great space with thoughtful touches and all of the amenities you might need for a short stay (no stove, but well-stocked kitchenette)! Clean, comfortable and convenient to town. Highly recommend this place for 1 or 2 people!

We fell in love with this house right away- badly- mainly because of the redwood tree and the huge yard. :) We also love how quiet and family-friendly the neighbor hood is while also being super close to third street.

We are always adding more touches to make our cottage unique. Most of our visitors have mentioned how relaxing and surprisingly big the space is. We've hung vintage art from David's collection throughout the cottage and every item was hand picked by us. The queen bed is loved by everyone - it's so cozy! Our place is perfect for a quick trip to downtown and also central to many wine tasting spots and resturants. There will be some very cool additions coming soon!
