Porto Stay

Great character house with beautiful wood work and high ceilings. Great neighborhood, walking distance to the beach and lovely restaurants. Great communication with the hosts. Who kindly left thoughtful snacks and a bottle of Port to welcome us. We would definitely stay again!

Short break with friends

Fabulous property, excellent location, short walk beach and to scenic bus route into town. 20 minute walk to lovely wide sandy beach. Very friendly helpful accommodating owner. Beautiful interior lovely little garden - even bikes available for use. We had a fabulous time!

Excellent House for exploring Porto

This is the second time I stayed in this wonderful house! It is ideally positioned: quiet typical neighbourhood, small grocery shop and bakery 3min walk, bus to Porto 5min walk, sea/beach 5min walk. Owners are so welcoming, house has everything you could possibly need including Nespresso machine. Rooms very nice and beds very comfortable. I can only recommend this property!!! u could possibly need including

Historical Beauty and Elegance

This home is a work of art . The amazing craftsmanship and beautiful detail is fascinating! If you are looking for a residence in Porto that will transport you to a more elegant time you will be delighted to have found this treasure! We were received with kindness. And included in the hospitality there was Port , cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. A delightful stay at a lovely home.

A glimpse at the beauty of Portugal

The incredible experience with this property began the moment it was booked. We received a message of welcome and confirmation of dates and arrival time along with inquiries of any special needs. When we arrived we were met with kindness and given a quick tour to ensure we could find everything within the property. The house itself is a view back in time to incredible craftsmanship and detail that now includes all the amenities of our time. The location is wonderful; walking distance to the ocean, shopping and restaurants that cater to anyone's desire. An wonderful place that made our stay one of a kind.

Perfect family vacation spot

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family. The location is perfect. Walking distance to great cafes, bars, restaurants on the water. Very easily accessible to the city center. Great amenities. Helpful, kind and accommodating hosts!

Vivre dans un autre siècle

Située idéalement près des plages de Matosinhos dans une rue tranquille, cette maison étonnante nous fait revivre au 19 ième siècle, elle ne ressemble à aucune villa habituellement proposée comme villégiature de bord de mer. Les chambres sont confortables et l'espace de vie est important ( salon, salle à manger, salon télé, salle de billard, jardinet) il permet à chacun de se sentir à son aise. Elle possède aussi un garage pour 2 voitures. La seule réserve concerne l'unique salle de bains qui pour 7 personnes demande un minimum d'organisation. Expérience unique et dépaysement total.

typical house in a nice and quiet area

We had a very pleasant stay. The house is as you can see in the pictures, not an average holiday home. The furniture in the bedrooms is lovely and antique. As a consequence we found the bed a little uncomfortable to share. We were welcomed by Elói and he provided a lot of useful information about the neighbourhood, places to eat, things to visit etc. The house has a garage which is also nice. The kitchen is great, as is the dining room, the garden and the basement with the pooltable. The salon is a little dark and has a bit of a musty smell. It is a good location to visit Porto and the surroundings.
