VILLA PODERE GAIA

This property set in a privileged position on the hills behind Cinque Terre, between Liguria and Tuscany. The beaches of Liguria as well as Tuscany and the Cinque Terre villages are easily accessible from here.
Ideal to go during the day to bath with the family to enjoy the culture of the country and to draw in the evening in the freshness and tranquility of the mountains back.
The villa has been carefully renovated with fine traditional materials and fabrics of the highest quality to offer all modern comforts.
Surrounded by mediterranean trees it guarantees utmost privacy and seclusion and occupies the perfect spot for peaceful relaxation. In addition, the villa's outdoor pool and the lovely pergola and relax area invite you to bathe at leisure quietly.
For those who love silence and nature, for families and groups of friends, is the ideal place for meeting to discover unusual itinerary and the antique flavors, the local food is excellent, not forgetting that at 30 minutes by car there is the sea with its beautiful beaches of Monterosso in Cinque Terre, Levanto, Porto Venere, Poet's Gulf, Lerici, Fiascherino and Tellaro.
Moreover thanks to the villa's location you can easily reach interesting tourist and cultural sights both in Liguria and Tuscany.

ACCOMMODATION

The property consists of two independent units with kitchen, fully equipped and furnished.
8 bedrooms (All beds are King size); 6 bathrooms (4 with shower 2 with bath tub)

A) the property is rented for exclusive use of our customers (swimming pool included). Owners can not rent any available / empty apartment during your stay.
B) It is not allowed to share a group of 10 people in two apartments.
If your group is made of 10 people this group will be hosted at "La Stele 2" apartment only.

Outside the patio extends to a shaded open living area. Here the sofas and armchairs and a large dining table offer wonderful relaxation, leisurely breakfasts and the perfect setting for romantic evening dinners.

Beautiful villa in Zignago

Very nice villa with beautiful pool and vue, and very cozy dining space outside. However, the wifi did not work the week we where there and the Cinque Terre is about an hour from the villa. We had a wonderful vacation and the host was very kind!

Abgelegene und moderne Unterkunft

Lage: Die Unterkunft ist abgelegen und man hat seine Ruhe. Es gibt in Sichtweite nur ein einziges Haus (sehr weit weg!) zudemerreicht man ca in 1h Autofahrt die Gegend Cinque Terre (optimal für spontane Tagesausflüge ans Meer). Unterkunft: Es gibt zwei Parteien: für 6 oder 10 Gäste. Wir sind in letzterer untergekommen, waren die einzigen Gäste und somit hatten wir den gepflegten Pool für uns alleine (bei Belegung beider Parteien teilt man sich den Pool). Der Terassenbereich ist groß und einladend. Hier lassen sich entspannte Grillabende verbringen. Es steht noch ein Steinofen zur Verfügung, den wir aber aufgrund fehlender Kenntnisse nicht verwendet haben. Fazit: Super Lage und Unterkunft - klare Weiterempfehlung

I loved having ALI! They were great with corresponding the purpose of their trip, they treated my place like their own, and most importantly, they are such warm people. Smooth sailing from the get-go. I hope to have the opportunity to host them again and any host would be lucky to have them!’

Beautiful house & location, but still not up to expecations

The house, the garden and the outdoor area (with oven & bbq) are beautiful. Having rented dozens of houses in the past decade across Europe I have never seen such a large pool with such stunning view. Unfortunately overall satisfaction is still below par. One day without gas (tank was empty), one day without water (tank was empty) and very poor wifi (with 6 teenagers) is not what we expect for an house in this price range. The responsiveness by the owners was great, immediate response to any of our issues and questions which we greatly appreciated, but still.... this should not happen during a week's holiday. The location is beautiful but to our liking too far away from the main attractions in the region. The dwindling roads through the mountains imply at least an hour back and forth if you want to see anything of interest (if not more). It gets a bit tedious after a couple of times. Probably the house (esp. the two parts together) are best used by larger groups who want to stay around the house most of the time. Very nice, spatious and clean bedrooms and bathrooms, though kitchen area and living room little small for group of 8... but then again: the idea is to live outside when on holiday in Italy.

It was my pleasure hosting Edwin. He respected house rules, communication ran smoothly, and most importantly, he was super friendly! Unfortunately during the stay there were some inconveniences caused by the sudden emptying of the tank essentially due to the excessive use during the high season by the previous guests but we are happy to have solved in a short time. We thank Edwin infinitely for his patience during these circumstances.

La maison est très belle et les équipements de qualité. Le "kit" de bienvenue était vraiment incroyable. Un grand merci pour cela :-) Nous avons passé un beau séjour dans la maison et les extérieurs sont magnifiques; la piscine est superbe. Cependant, nous n'avions pas bien compris où se situait la maison et il est vrai qu'elle est quand même bien éloignée de tout (compter 25 minutes de route de la maison à l'accès pour l'autoroute) Il faut donc tenir compte que les endroits touristiques se trouvent tous à au moins 1 heure de route. Et la route d'accès à la maison n'est pas en très bon état. Hormis ce point, notre séjour s'est très bien passé et le propriétaire fut très accueillant.

Wonderful hill-top retreat for rustic peace and quiet

Lovely country house, beautifully renovated and well-equipped. Contemporary decor and fully-equipped modern bathrooms. Fabulous pool. Covered patio, complete with built-in BBQ and pizza oven, and loads of space to entertain guests/family. If you are looking for an escape from the city, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. You are truly away-from-it-all, with clear skies, peace and quiet, and wide open views to the horizon. Although Cinque Terre and Portofino are not that far away, it's actually at least an hour's drive to each one, with some pretty narrow, twisty roads to get there - so bear that in mind if you are thinking about booking a Cinque Terre restaurant in the evening - however, there are some lovely local restaurants nearby, with great food and excellent value. The owner of the house could not have been more welcoming and went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable during our stay. All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing break, and just what we were looking for.

Amazing place

Amazing place and a wonderful experience. Family of 5 with children (11 yo, 9 yo, 9 yo). We really enjoyed the quiet and infinity pool It was perfect for us, but certainly could accommodate more comfortably. The location is fantastic and the outdoor space is second to none. Thank you very much

TOTAL RELAX

A wonderful villa with a beautiful view over Cinque Terre. The pool is very large and offers a nice view to the valley and the forest around. It feels good to relaxing outside with the sound of cicalas in the background. Inside it's clean and you have everything for cooking and passing an unforgettable time. The landscape and the coast are breathtaking, but to discover the region it's better to choosing a low season, in july a lot of places are crowded of tourists. Thanks to the staff of Sea and Country Villas for their support during our stay.

HOLIDAY IN GREAT RELAX

The owners have proved to be extremely helpful and friendly. The property was clean and comfortable. The distance from the facilities is minimal, but the house is isolated and quiet.

This is the second time we have stayed in Villa Podere Gaia. Everything in the villa was to a very high standard including all the facilities. The information pack was thorough and full of little bits about the Villa and Cinque Terre. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Villas Podere Gaia to all.

Outstanding property!

What a beautiful property! Outstanding!! The pictures just don't do it justice. The remote location could possibly be a detraction to some, but we all loved it! Remote, bucolic, in the middle of vineyards and olive groves, the occasional falcons wandering by - who could ask for better from Liguria? It is close enough to the sea and near to the shopping center of Cinque Terre for all the necessities - good restaurants, wineries, groceries. La Spezia is close enough as well, with more shopping opportunities and variety. Best of both worlds! Plenty of room for 5 - 8 couples, with opportunities for even bigger crowds (or receptions) with HUGE common spaces: kitchen and dining table and 2 living areas. The new infinity pool was breath-taking - a total surprise!. Though still not finished, it was functional, and when landscaping and lighting are completed, will be an outstanding feature of this property, only excelled by, yet complimenting the views. The greenery around is a must see as well. The kitchen itself was a jewel and adequate for all our needs. We had a fantastic stay here and we can't wait to come back. Thank you very much indeed. Excellent modern villa with spectacular pool

We had the good fortune of spending a week in PODERE GAIA back in August of 2016, and I have to say that this experience was something out of a movie! Absolutely spectacular, gorgeous, and it really captured Liguria in such a beautiful way. Every detail was calculated and done with care! Betty didn't miss a thing in creating a warm atmosphere and making this a Home Away from home. The grounds were impeccable, the views breathtaking and the setting just incredible. Betty and Ettore were such fabulous and gracious hosts, and they were always there if you needed them. A day doesn't go by that we don't think of Podere Gaia and surroundings, and our only regret is that we didn't have more time there. Thank you for having given us the time of our lives!
