This property was perfect for us. My wife and I and our beagle had plenty of room and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakeside. The cottage location is great and very accessible to the entire community. We appreciated someone offering an affordable option, as most of the pet friendly rentals are larger and/or considerably more expensive. A great place to stay!

This is our third summer staying here in Judi’s cottage and we’ll keep coming back as many years as she’ll have us! It’s the best location inside the gates of Lakeside, has all necessary kitchen supplies, and has the best neighbors. It’s perfect for what you’d need in a lake getaway.

The host Judy is super sweet and responds quickly to messages. I had some difficulty finding the place, it is set behind two other houses but other than that, was accurately described. This is very much lake Erie living, cottage vibes. Some reviews state that there isn't a place to walk the dog, but you are surrounded by beautiful landscape, the water is two blocks away, and tree lined streets are especially beautiful in the early fall. Very walkable area with little food spots near by. 15 min drive to the miller ferry and right by the Kelley's island ferry. Will stay again.

Great hidden gem!

Excellent location, Clean and cosy, Friendly and communicative host. Glad we could also bring our pup to enjoy the week with us. Having access to the long driveway for parking was very convenient. Would definitely rent again!

Great for fishermen!

The cottage is a clean, cozy place to stay and the host was nice to work with. For boaters, the house has a long driveway to park your rig. Would stay here again!

Wonderful! Prime location

Our favorite family vacation spot! This property is in a prime location and the host goes above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Furniture was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We loved every minute!

Cute little lakeside guest house

Great location! I was happy to find a pet friendly cottage to bring my dog! Judy was very welcoming and good with communication.

Last Resort at Lakeside

This cottage was comfy and cozy! A convenient location and close to everything, but also very quiet. The host resolved any issues quickly. We had a great stay here and even the cat enjoyed the outdoor patio.

The best getaway!

This house was perfect for our two young kids and dog. It’s tiny but definitely laid out well so it doesn’t feel cramped. Clean, perfect location, and Judy and her son we wonderful. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Our experience renting this cottage at Lakeside was great! The updated kitchen was wonderful for preparing meals. We had 6 people total, one teenager sleeping on an air mattress that was provided (thank you!). It is located close to Walnut Plaza, the lake, and the park which was very convenient. We are so grateful to our hostess, Judy, for her generosity and kindness. We would highly recommend renting this cottage!

The property next door was undergoing major construction and we enjoyed our interactions with the workers and was fascinated with the process which was to raise the house and redo the footers and foundation. You don’t see that every day.

Quaint cottage perfect for adult couple

We had a wonderful stay at “The Last Resort” with myself, my fiancé, my sister, and my brother-in-law as well as our two dogs. Being able to have our dogs with us was a huge bonus as most cottages in Lakeside don’t allow that. The only downside was that we had to walk them to Hoover Auditorium to go to the bathroom since there was no grass on the property but that wasn’t a problem for us. The WiFi was very strong and we were able to work and conduct a zoom call from the cottage. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic as well. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Cozy, convenient, and caring

The cottage was very clean and convenient to all the Lakeside fun, without blocks and blocks of walking. The owners are in the house next door and truly could not have been kinder or more helpful. The only slight drawback was that the AC was window units in the living area and the master bedroom. The second bedroom was quite warm, especially with the morning sun coming through the block window. We got some fans and were good. Of course, the best part was being able to bring our beloved pup!

Will not sleep 6

They replaced the queen size sofa bed it said in our description when we booked in November 2022 with a love seat without telling us. Offered no help air mattress or anything. Will only sleep 4 comfortably. 2 bedroom upstairs 1 queen, 2 twins. We had our son and 3 granddaughters there for ONLY 2 nights, that made 6 which it said it could accommodate. We stayed by ourselves (2) the remainder of the week.

Days at THE LAST RESORT

We love this lovely place. It is perfect for the two of us! Judy is always there for any needs! Plus she is a wonderful person! I could stay for days but vacations are short but sweet!

I spend the summer and most of the fall in the main cottage. While Chicago is where we reside (Go Cubs!) Lakeside is truly Home.
