We had a lovely stay at this quaint bungalow, which is in the perfect location with everything you could need right on your doorstep. Check-in was very smooth, and we really appreciated the milk and biscuits that had been left for us — such a lovely touch! The pool was also a great addition, and the living room felt really cosy and welcoming.Unfortunately, there were a few areas that we felt could be improved. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the mattresses were badly stained, to the point where it made us feel uncomfortable sleeping on them. One of our party actually had to sleep on the sofa as a result. There were also a few dog hairs left behind from previous guests, although we understand this is something that can happen in dog-friendly accommodation. The pool looked slightly green when we arrived and became cloudier as the week went on. The bungalow itself is lovely, quaint and full of character, but it did feel quite damp throughout our stay. Clothes hanging in the wardrobe felt damp, and the beds also felt damp each night.Overall, it is a lovely place with lots of potential, but we feel it could really benefit from a little TLC and attention to some of these issues. It may also be worth mentioning to future guests that the owner visits midweek to check the pool chemicals. This was particularly important for us as we had a dog, as they entered through the side gate and unfortunately left it open.Thank you for having us
