Hosts were absolutely lovely, great pool and garden area, very close to the airport which we wanted, some great restaurants not too far away.

Fantastic hosts (Ann and Herman): available but not intrusive, attentive, good humoured and responsive to any requests. The newly refurbished apartment was of a good build quality. It was clean and well appointed - had everything you need for your stay.Good quality fittings, comfy bed, no external noise, plenty if storeage space in kitchen and bedroom, large television with wi-fi connectivity. Secluded garden with pool.Access to a car is not essential but advisable as it is not well served by public transport: nearest bus / train is a 15 minutes walk along a relatively fast road. Churriana is 5 minutes in the car and has supermarkets, petrol stations and cafes. Also a great local gym that offers day membership for 10 euros. Out of season Torremolinos is great to visit and easy to park and get around. Plenty to do in vibrant centre and good beaches in easy reach.We would definitely go again.

Quiet Oasis

We slept well and took advantage of the clothes washer at this residential neighborhood apt in the hills above the city. We found Torremolinos to be our favorite area for dining and beach visits.

In the hills of Churriana

Located on a hill , this clean , cozy comfortable apartment had a magnificent view from the terrace and the pool. The Host , Ann & Herman were great company . A 15 minute walk takes you to the nearest train station I highly recommend this gem in Churriana

Malaga visit 2024

We had a 2-night stay at this place. It was clean, organized and well laid out. The place is well represented in the pictures and the host was friendly and accommodating. The only negative thing about the visit was the weather, but that was outside of the hosts control.

Lovely outdoor space

Hosts are the loveliest couple and will do anything for you. I have no complaints but there are a couple of things I knew before booking. There is no toilet door, just a beaded curtain which separates the shower room from the kitchen. Toilet paper must be put in a bin rather than flushed. We really struggled with this as we’ve never had to do this before. There is also an additional cost for gas/electricity usage payable on departure.

Friendly and helpful host

I am speaking on behalf of my Son and his partner that I booked this place for .They were really happy with their stay it was easy to get to the airport .They enjoyed their walks to the beach and town which was no more than a 10 to 15 min walk .They commented how helpful and lovely Ann was as a host .They wished they could of stayed longer

Great place to relax.

This was a beautiful, quiet place to relax by the pool. I really wish we had more time to do so. We did not have a car so it was a lot of walking to get to a store or the train station. However, there is a fantastic Italian restaurant only 2 minute walk away. Old town in Malaga was a 15 min. train ride away. Ann and Herman were very friendly

Fabulous Holiday

We had a fabulous 6 night break, Ann was very helpful & friendly, giving us information and places to visit in and around Malaga. The accommodation was just what we needed, the views were great you could see the sea and mountains, we did not hire a car and found walking to where we needed to go too very easy…. the beach a 30 mins walk , the shop (small supermarket) 10 mins walk and train station 15 mins walk. Taxi from and to Malaga airport only 18 Euros. We would love stay again sometime. Thank you Ann and Herman.

Short but sweet

We only stayed two nights but enjoyed the property. The apartment,although compact was well designed and well equipped. The pool was really lovely. There was a pizzeria at the end of the road but it didn't open until 8pm so we bought one from the supermarket instead. You really need a car unless you are happy to relax by the pool all day.It would be possible to park at the closest train station and get the train to Malaga or down the coast. Ann was helpful and friendly as host.

Nice place in a non-central location

Ann was very kind and helpful. The garden is gorgeous, and the apartment was minimal but clean and a great value. However it is not as easy to get around to Malaga or Torremolinos as I’d hoped. The main road connecting Churriana to Torremolinos, that you must use to get to the beach or metro, had a high speed limit with very little shoulder that made it a bit unnerving with cars speeding by. It was also a bit frustrating to walk into town and find everything closed, as the siesta hours were a bit inconsistent and not accurately listed on google. Uber prices were also quite high. For that reason I would recommend renting a car if you plan to stay here. It could also be nice for one or two days if you just want to hang around the pool, as it really is quite a nice garden space.

Disappointing Standards

Host pleasant, space adequate, bed and pillows poor quality Toilet/whb/shower openened directly, with no door, on to kitchen (H&S standards?), toilet cistern faulty. Minimal amount of kitchen equipment, no hairdryer, and no basic welcoming supplies at all. As stated, airplane noise was not intrusive. however, the apartment opened on to veranda facing motorway to Malaga with non stop loud traffic.

Paradise

It was a great property with a fantastic view please be advised of the writing at the end where it states that you pay for your consumption of water and electricity. There is also no centralized AC or any window unit so if there is no wind it can be quite HOT. There was not a breakdown of any math of how the total was calculated for the utilities we were just told a total that we had to pay. The only few complaints are that I had to reach out to figure out what the steps were going to be for us to check in coming in from the US this information was not given to us via the owner and the lack of transparency with the math done for utilities. Very awkward way to end our trip but thank goodness we had a great time besides that.

7 day stay with great views

Very nice property, very easy to find. Only 10 minutes or so from the airport. Amazing views from the balcony with the sun shining pretty much all day over the balcony and back of the property. Pool aswell which we didn’t use as the weather wasn’t the warmest while we were there. Definitely would have had it been a bit warmer though. Clean inside, and has all the things you need for a weeks stay. Communication with Ana and Herman was superb and nothing was too much effort for them, we had to ask for a heater as some nights were a little cold and they were straight round with a heater. Only issue is maybe the bathroom isn’t quite what we expected, a beaded door and right next to the kitchen but it wasn’t a major issue. Also we felt the bed was a bit narrow and not the comfiest for us, but everything else is brilliant. TV has many channels, it’s quiet at night despite it being close to a motorway and airport. You don’t hear either of those at night. We would definitely recommend people to stay here and would absolutely come back if we were staying in Malaga again. Great little bolthole ideal for 2 with private use of large pool

The house is hidden away behind lush tropical palms and Spanish pines. The owners have separate ponds for terrapins and carp which are fascinating to watch. The apartment was spotlessly clean - no air con but there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a good breeze comes through from the front to the back of the property. The compact shower room is immediately adjacent to the kitchen, screened off by a bead curtain so if you are shy, ask your partner to go outside to the pool! The steps up from the front gate are a little rustic and uneven - only mentioning as I have knee issues but they were easy enough to get up and down. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and were happy to help with any queries, Otherwise leaving us to our own devices. The property is within easy Uber distance of Torremolinos and has views of the med from front and back. The autovia is at the bottom of the hill from the villa and can be heard but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment. This property is best if you have a car or at least a taxi to get to. It was a very good price and was exactly what we were looking for in our short break to Malaga province.

Très bel appartement et bien équipé. Situé à proximité de toutes commodités (Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena).Le jardin est magnifique et la piscine un vrai plus. On a passé un très bon séjour.

Herman en An zijn super lieve mensen. Ze geven je tips in wat er in de buurt te doen valt .Ze staan klaar voor je en waren zeer sympathiek .Het eerste wat ons stoorde was dat er geen airconditioning voorzien is. De ramen zijn van dun enkel glas en verankerd.Heel de namiddag stond de zon erop..Na deze opmerking heeft men doeken met tangen op het hekwerk geplaatst zodat de middagzon niet rechtstreeks op de ramen kon schijnen. Dit hielp wel . De slaapkamer grenst aan de verhuurder zijn leefruimte en is enkel gescheiden door een deur. Met gevolg dat je hun tv en gesprekken hoorde. Dit is erg storend .Het feit dat er geen deur is tussen keuken en badkamer/toilet is zeer storend. Enkel gescheiden door een linten-gordijn.Ook al zou je als echtpaar er logeren zou me dat ook erg storen. De inrichting is echt wel zeer oudbollig . Afgaande van de foto's waren we echt wel teleurgesteld. De tuin was zeer rommelig.Een terrarium die al zeer lang niet meer gebruikt en onopgeruimd blijft staan,lege kooien,een kleine vijver met 25 waterschildpadden in zeer vuil en verschrikkelijk troebel water in 2 vierkante meter. De trappen hadden nood aan renovatie. Kortom, de foto's zijn misleidend.Ik wil eerlijk zijn en hoop van harte dat An en Herman hiermee aan de slag gaan.
