Short walk to the beach!

This was the perfect place to stay for our last day in Italy. We toured the country and wanted to be close to the Rome airport for our last night. We arrived in the afternoon, had time to walk to the beach, go back and get ready for a nice dinner.

Lovey place to stay

This was an wonderful little apartment. Clean, close to beach, and local restaurants. Parking was a bit of a problem but we worked it out. I would highly recommend this property. It met all our needs .

A bit challenging at first to overcome language barrier - but patience on both sides worked out - would absolutely stay again - great location and great hosts!!

Was surprise how quiet it was, even across from the Fire Hall. 10 Minute walk to the train / bus terminal, close to all the shops and yet far enough away to not be in the tourist traps directly. Would do this one again. Thanks Stefano

The perfect place to stay while in Roma

We really enjoyed our stay in Ostia! This location was only a 10-minute walk to the beach or to the train station, so it is a great place to access all that Rome has to offer. In addition, we ate at 2 different neighborhood restaurants that were outstanding. In fact, the Status Quo (vegan) was one of the best restaurants on our trip--and we are not even vegan! We especially liked the convenient check-in process and communication with the property owner. Everything was exceptionally clean and all of the details (WiFi, appliances, etc.) were neatly arranged in a "guest book". We would definitely return!! Thank you!

Quiet Ostia

After I figured out how to get in I had some problems with figuring out the washing machine. Stefano sent a colleague of his over very quickly. I translated his instructions into English for future guests.

Like a 2nd Home

The apartment was so clean with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Stefano and Tina were very welcoming, very responsive to every need. The supply of coffee, juice and snacks was a nice and thoughtful touch. I love the proximity to the beach and the cozy shops, restaurants and the train station. It's a bit of a commute to the center of town but I didn't mind as I preferred to be outside of the city. I did miss my microwave but the stove worked perfectly well to prepare food. Over-all, it was an excellent stay and good value for the money.

Nice Apartment.

Apartment very clean, location good. Parking a struggle not as site described. Wifi and TV not really adequate, very outdated system, in bedroom Wifi only works 50% of the time. Not as described on site. Kitchen can use a toaster or some kind of mini oven as there is only a Stove top. Very limited use. Our stay was ok we were there 3 nites.

Not what was expected

To begin with the positives, the property was very clean. The bathroom was good and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the apartment was not what I was expecting. Overall it was cheerless and slightly damp. It should be made clear on the listing that this is a basement flat with no view at all. All the windows, except the bedroom door, have opaque glass so there is zero connection with the outside world once you’re inside. If you do crane your neck to look out of an open window all you see are railings, pavement, steps, and feet. The kitchen has only an induction hob: no oven, no microwave, no toaster. This is a reasonably functional apartment but don't expect to be able to cook a meal and relax indoors on a rainy day.

maison royale

Superbe endroit mais très déçu de la plate-forme vrbo, on quittait Rimini le matin, et on a jamais eu la bonne adresse car la maison royale quand on cherche l'adresse elle nous la donne au mauvais endroit (on a payé un taxi 70 euros) pour finalement rejoindre Tina qui ne parle qu'Italien pour nous dire que le nom n'est pas celui indiqué sur notre courriel et on était à 22 minutes encore de taxi. Une horreur.

Kellerwohnung ohne Parkplatz mit Feuerwache

Der freie Strand ist knapp einen km entfernt, einen Parkplatz, der zur Ferienwohnung gehört, gab es nicht und die Kellerwohnung liegt direkt gegenüber der Feuerwache. Dies alles hat uns nicht gefallen. Außerdem wäre einToaster schön gewesen, da es keinen Backofen gibt. Kleine Glasschälchen für Eis oder Nachtisch fehlen ebenso wie ein paar große Gläser
