What a perfect little house, so peaceful and secluded.. The hosts Chris and Jill have literally thought of everything you would need for a staycation, with excellent communication from start to finish .. we had a fabulous time celebrating New Year, long walks and cold swims, watching the wildlife .. would definitely recommend it’s one of the nicest homes we’ve stayed in .. Thank you

This place is lovely and comfortable. Very secluded, and road is bumpy but just take it easy and you’ll get there. It’s well worth the drive in. Amazing wildlife and scenery. Lots of sea and land birds, red squirrels, otters, and seals. An otter swam by and came onto the beach while I was sitting quietly on the wall. The view over to Bute is lovely - no structures on this side of Bute, all wilderness. The stars are phenomenal - so sparkly. Jill and Chris are excellent hosts. They provided many perks like coffee, tea, drinking water, condiments, cooking pots, and more! All questions I had before and after the stay were answered quickly and thoroughly. This is a wonderful place to relax, unwind and experience the beauty of nature. Excellent stay. Many thanks!! XO

Fantastic location with stunning views from all windows and a fab outdoor seating area - perfect for taking in life on the loch be it boats, otters or birds. Cottage comfortable, beds good.

Special place

Even though it has quite a large boatshed next to it, this cottage has a very special atmosphere (You can barely see the shed once you're inside). The house looks straight over the most tranquil bay and we saw noone near the house either on foot or in a car while we were there. You feel as it fhe whole place is just yours! The house is warm, clean, very prettily presented and has everything you need.

Peace at last.

Been a bit of a hectic time at home so needed a relaxing stay. This is just what we got. Lovely cottage and location is what it was all about. To swim in the Loch every morning was a treat. Huugo is a water furry so wonderful time was had by all. Pity we could not stay longer. Thank you for letting us to stay. Ange, Colin and Huugo.

Simply Marvellous!

The title says it all, our trip to this wonderful cottage was marvellous, the scenery stunning, amazing wildlife, the cottage beautiful with everything a peaceful holiday needs. Jill and Chris are the most wonderful hosts with lots of fantastic stories, they have helped give our children memories that will last forever, we can't wait for our next visit.

Ideal escape to the Kyles of Bute

We had a two-night stay as part of a family tour of the area. The cottage was peaceful, clean and comfortable with absolutely stunning views out over the Kyles. It was exceptionally well-stocked with good quality toiletries and kitchen provisions. We also appreciated the bird / squirrel feeder supplies (which the red squirrels also enjoyed). Jill and Chris made us feel very welcome but also respected our privacy. This was a trip down memory lane for me and an introduction to the area for my grown-up daughters, and our stay here was a definite highlight of a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Simply stunning!

The location and scenery is truly wonderful. So much to see and with wildlife in abundance we would happily of stayed forever! West Glen was the perfect place for our little family and Boxer Dog and we were out on our boat exploring most days. Thank you to Jill and Chris, fantastic hosts, so friendly and welcoming and always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Seclusion and views

Fab cottage with everything provided for. Very clean and comfy beds. The view from the cottage is amazing and very peaceful day and night. Definitely a cottage we will be visiting again.

So peaceful

Property was amazing, some really lovely touches and a great location. Jill & Chris were so kind and helpful allowing us access to all areas. Fantastic for wildlife (red squirrels, pine martens, badgers, herons, gannets and loads of small garden birds to name just a few). Just the place to wind down and relax.
