Check in and locating the house we’re really easy with great arrival information from the owner. The house had everything we needed with lots of space. We were very comfortable and the private space to park at the top of the village was a great help. A fantastic location in the village.

House was clean enough but in desperate need of some tlc.. Kitchen smelt musty/damp on arrival.. Positives: beds were very comfortable, position of house was right in the heart of Staithes which was handy for central village... Would I stay here again - probably not; expensive stay for a rental that needs care and attention.

The location of the house is excellent. Parking at the top of the hill is simple. Had a great time with fabulous weather.

Great location

Overall a great property in a great location within the village- plenty of space for us all and the kitchen area was great social area for us all plenty of storage We were lucky with the weather so was nice sitting out in our little space outside!

Great property in a lovely village.

Lovely place - kids loved having 4 floors to explore! Recommended. Just make sure you are aware of the loading and parking that is required. Some people seemed to be occupying the parking spaces far longer than 30 mins which made loading the car at the end of the trip a bit more of a trek. Only thing I couldn't find in the house was a cafetiere.

Property very neglected. Shower, heating, tumble dryer and vacum cleaner did not work. Still waiting for property manager to reply to my messages. Property is in a lovely position its such a shame to see it so dirty and neglected. TVs, cushions and plastic flowers in each room are no substitute for a good clean and working equipment

Had wonderful stay . Enjoyed Staithes with the walking , car free, crabbing , lovely meals out . Location of property is great and bonus is a private parking slot Host is very responsive. Good communication. Had a small issue which was addressed

Amazing location in the heart of Staithes

Fantastic stay in a large property with everything you need in the heart of the village. So close to everything, just step outside the front door and you are there. Parking was easy but the steep hill may not suit some. If you do a grocery shop Tesco wont deliver to the house but others will apparently. Had such a great time we booked an extra night.

nice sized accomedation, well equiped and in a good location. disappointed not to have a welcome pack, no tea towels or ice cube containers ! and all blinds and some curtains need fixing or replacing also Christmas decorations still hung up ?

Grubby and Unloved

We had a great holiday in Staithes, it is a fantastic place. Unfortunately, this cottage is not as good. It is badly in need of updating and a good clean. Some windows don't close, there are loose door handles (and many doors don't shut properly), bath taps need looking at and the outside space was filthy. The decor and furniture are old fashioned, and yes, they still have Christmas decorations up!! We were fine with 4 floors and lots of stairs but I don't think the description adequately described that.

The property was a bit cold when we arrived and could have done with an airing. It soon warmed up. One or two things were missing - cafetiere - eggs cups.The beds were lovely. There are quite a lot of stairs.We enjoyed the stay a lot.

Our Staithes cottage

We enjoyed our stay, though it wouldn't suit people who don't like stairs as there are a lot. The kitchen was fantastically equipped! Though the smell of damp caused my husband breathing difficulties, it seems its only in the bottom half of the kitchen cupboards, couldn't get main oven to work, luckily had top oven (3 children to cook for) couldn't get any hot water but host quickly rectifyed. It is what it is, and we needed a break. It was clean apart from the grill hadn't been cleaned and crumbs on the side. It's great you can bring your dog but be mindful that the outdoor garden is enough for them is tiny. I think if the house book could be left on the table it would be helpful, Nothing major just leaving an honest review.

Fantastic location and lovely property. Would definitely stay there again. However could not leave first floor bedroom window open as wasn't secure if windy.
