We've stayed in many Vrbo's and the competition rentals over the years. Roberta was the best host we have ever had! Roberta goes above and beyond caring for you like honored guests in her wonderful family farmhouse just minutes from Montelpulciano with its amazing scenery, wine, food, and culture. Here in the offseason, we experienced Val d'Orcia without the crowds (except for the wonderful and busy Christmas market). 100% recommend this beautiful villa, the cooking class, and we can't say enough about how wonderful Roberta was as a host. Booking this Vrbo is an incredible value for what you get.

Familienurlaub

Trotz der Nähe von Montepulciano war es super ruhig. Die Aussicht vom Haus aus auf die Umgebung war atemberaubend. Roberta war super nett und sehr unkompliziert. Die Woche war einfach traumhaft. Das Haus war sehr sauber und wunderbar eingerichtet. Der Garten war riesig, besonders die Laube hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wenn man am Abend dort sitzt. Die Einrichtung des Hauses sehr geschmackvoll. Einfach sehr sehr schön. zum empfehlen.

Your Vintage Tuscan Paradise

If you are looking for a stay in a vintage Montepulciano villa, then this will be your little slice of heaven! This was the highlight of our Italy trip. Roberta may be, not just the best host in Italy, but maybe in the world!!! Make sure you try their own virgin olive oil as part of your stay. When we come back to Tuscany, this will be our place again, hands down.

Little piece of heaven!

We visited this amazing place in October and had to come back! It was so beautiful seeing the area all decorated and ready for Christmas. Signora Roberta is an amazing host and we can't wait to come back in a few months if not sooner. Grazie mille!

Ottima location

Bel casale, comodo con 3 camere spaziose, un gradevole camino e una cucina attrezzata. Giardino curato con una splendida vista. Nella Proprietà ci sono vigne e uliveti: bellissimo passeggiarci. Il grande plus è la location: campagna con vista ma a meno di 5 minuti dai parcheggi del centro storico. Comoda soluzione per vivere il centro storico di Montepulciano senza rinunciare alla bellezza della natura. Host molto attenta e dettagliata.

Fantastic Country Retreat next to Moltepulciano!

Property is within minutes of famous Montepulciano, but also super close to other beautiful cities: Cortona, Montalcino, Pienza and many other cities in Tuscany and Umbria. We were welcomed to the most beautiful house, with so many details and so much hospitality. Signora Roberta had an amazing breakfast set up for us, to make our first morning even more better. We were surrounded by wonderful views of vineyard and olive grove where our kids and dogs loved walking and enjoying all the Autumn colors. We are already talking about going back for a weekend in December so we can enjoy Christmas markets. We highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone who is coming to the area. P.S. The beds were so comfortable, we had the best sleep while staying here. It was so peaceful and cozy!!!

An attractive farmouse in a peaceful setting, close to Montepulciano

Podere San Pietro is an attractive, historic farmhouse which has been carefully modernised and equiped as a holiday home, retaining traditional terracotta floors and ceilings. We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful location, set amongst terraced olive groves, and made considerable use of the garden with it's external dining area, BBQ and views over the surrounding countryside. It provided an excellent base for visiting places in southern Tuscany and across into Umbria. Internally the property had ample space for our family (we were four), though we spent more of our daytime enjoying the outside space. It's worth noting in terms of sleeping arrangements that the attic bedroom is connected to the living area by an open stair so is not acoustically seperate (this wasn't a problem for us, and the room itself is very spacious and appealing). The house is just outside Montepulciano. For those, like us, who want to spend some days without the car and the hassle of parking, it is within walking distance of the centre. Many will prefer to drive, though, especially as the most direct route to the main Piazza Grande (about 30min) is a steep walk and involves stretches of busy roads not designed for pedestrians. An enjoyable alternative walk, however, leads left out of the entrance gate along country lanes, through fields to the lower end of the town from where the Porta San Pietro into the old town can be accessed. In the evenings we saw deer and other wildlife on this route. Combined with walking back from the church of San Biagio, we were able to make a circular route through Montepulciano and back to the house. Our host, Roberta, was kind and helpful as well as being undertanding in advance when we faced potential difficulties with disruption to our travel arrangements.

Fantastic weekend

A very beautiful house in a wonderfully peaceful setting. Really wish we could have stayed longer. The kids toys were a great touch and both enjoyed them imensely. Roberta was a lovely host and really helpful. A fantastic weekend. Thanks.

Great place to stay

Fantastic property, great host. Nice touches everywhere. It was lovely in winter but summer would be even better. The home made olive oil was delicious. Roberta was lovely, helpful and accomodating. The only problem was there was no mention of an extra charge for the electric heating until we arrived. 70 euros extra for three days heating seemed rather expensive.

Comfortable country villa in a beautiful setting

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful setting. It is a described. Views are great. Convenient to Montepulciano and surrounding areas. Roberta was very helpful in responding to our inquiries. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful calm house near Montepulciano

We stayed in San Pietro for 2 months and we loved it. Roberta was very kind and always responsive and ready to help. The house feels like a beautiful family holiday home; there is a great fire place (and lots of wood), art books and a big kitchen with an excellent gas stove and oven; it is a pleasure to cook there. In the mornings you can have breakfast in the large garden and enjoy the morning sun. The view on the valley behind Montepulciano is very beautiful. It is easy to walk to Montepulciano from San Pietro (15 min.), the path is a country path with great views. Although it is so near to Montepulciano, it feels very quiet and hidden away in nature. I whole heartedly recommend this house!

Magnificent

We stayed for 6 nights in June this year and we absolutely loved it. Roberta was very kind and very helpful. The property is very well appointed with everything that you could need and very very comfortable. And the location is wonderful. It is very private and very quiet. We had been travelling for aover 4 weeks before we arrived in Montepulciano and we had been staying in large cities, so it was great to stay somewhere that was so quiet, comfortable and relaxing. Pictures don't do this beautiful villa justice!

This beautiful villa has a gorgeous backdrop - views of vineyards and rolling hills. Roberta was extremely helpful and responsive when our rental car got a flat tire and when we got locked out of the villa! Overall, a great stay - thank you Roberta! I will be back :-)
