Have you ever wondered what it would be like to actually live in Hawaii? Alas, it is not to be for me - and yet- my husband and I recently spent a month in the Hale Ka Nani ohana on Kohala Ranch, island of Hawaii, and that is as near as one can get to actually living in this beautiful island if you aren't able to do so. The ohana is a lovely 3 room self-contained guest house adjacent to, but separate from the owner's main house, with its own entrance, driveway, washer/dryer and furnished lanai, which overlooks the ocean, and the mountains Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai. On a clear day one can see the island of Maui. Sunsets are spectacular. I have seen the legendary "Green Flash" twice since I've been here.
The newly completed unit is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything one would need to make a stay here very comfortable. What a great place for writing a book, reading a novel, unwinding, renewing, and just enjoying all the things Hawaii has to offer.
Mahalo, Hale Ka Nani!
