07. Terrace with stunning view of the sea and Cap Ferrat, one bedroom apartment.

A cozy apartment with the most iconic view anywhere on the French Riviera over the Bay of Villefranche and Cap Ferrat Peninsula. The living room has a dining table for four and a bed sofa that can easily be converted into a double bed. The bright bedroom comes with a double bed. The furnished balcony opens towards the Mediterranean. There is an additional roof terrace available, as well as a pool that is open from May to September.

If you arrive with a car you can park outside the premises for free.

A walk down to the sandy beach and the Old Town of Villefranche takes about 15 minutes, with an abundance of restaurants and small boutiques. You´ll reach the closest grocery store and boulangerie from the apartment in 10 minutes by walking. Besides walking, you can take a small shuttle bus to the beach. Next to the beach is a train station with regular local traffic east through Monaco to Ventimiglia in Italy and westwards to Nice, through Cannes all the way to Saint-Raphaël.

Spectacular Views & Great Location

Really loved staying here. The views are spectacular and the location is convenient for walking around. Definitely need to be in shape as there are lots of stairs when walking. Parking can be very tight in this area.

The charming village of Villefranche cascades down the hillside to the sea so there are many steps to go up and down. Just imagine the great buttocks you will have after visiting! During high season the traffic is tight and parking as well. It gets easier during late high season and fall/winter/spring.

An Absolute Gem in Villefranche Sur Mer

This apartment is absolutely wonderful. It was clean, the check-in process was super easy and the host was very communicative. The real star of this listing is the view. It’s truly stunning all day long. Be prepared for many stairs but it is WELL worth it!

Nice but a far walk to town

We stayed for 4 days and the views were stunning. The only downfall was we didn’t realize just how many stairs there were to get down to the main area where stores and restaurants were. Not going to lie, some nights we walked down for dinner/drinks and took an Uber back up. Overall it was a nice place.

The beauty of Villefranche is that it is a very pedestrian-friendly village. Most of the town is pedestrian-only, with lots of stairs to get up and down, so be prepared.

Villefranche stay

The view was spectacular and as advertised. Walking the steps to go down to the town and back up was a bit difficult, but doable. Having a patisserie and small grocery store 6 or so minutes away was great too, although more steps! We did always find a place to park our car. The apartment was very nice.

Amazing view - perfect stay!

Property manager Audrey was absolutely fantastic!!!! Check-in was a breeze, and she even recommended her favorite restaurants in the area. The property itself was amazing, the view spectacular, and it was furnished very well! Even the pull-out couch was extremely comfortable to sleep on! We will definitely be booking this place again for future vacations!! **A word of caution for anyone with mobility issues, you will probably need taxis to get around as there are a lot of stairs in Villefranche. It is a very steep town.

The property was accurately depicted in the VBRO listing so we had no surprises on check-in and Vieka, the property manager was great to communicate with and she met us at check-in and was very helpful for getting oriented for an efficient stay. The view is amazing and the property has a rooftop pool if inclined to enjoy it. The kitchen supplies were reasonably well stocked to support our stay and support making breakfasts, etc. Parking is a competitive endeavor in this neighborhood, free but available spaces near the entrance can prove scarce at times. We like to walk so the approximately 200 stair-steps back from town did not pose a challenge, but one needs to be reasonably fit to walk back. Ubers are plentiful and pick up right at the entrance to the complex. Note to owner, I think spare sets of towels would be a nice touch to add for the benefit of future guests. There is a clothes washer but drying is on air dry on a rack and we stayed during a rainy period so these would have been are slow to dry, if washed.Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would favorably consider a return visit.

Beautiful views

Beautiful views from the apartment. The walk up was quite a lot of stairs we did not anticipate. Buses weren’t readily available on Sunday or May 1 as it was a holiday. Had an issue with the washing machine leaking but Audrey addressed the issue and answered any questions we had. She was great! The kitchen really needs updating but otherwise a great place to stay.

The good, the bad and the ugly

The Good: The location was perfect for walking into town (the steps are not as bad as other reviews suggest— would only be tough if someone has mobility issues). The view from the apartment is picture-perfect, just as described in the posting. Parking was easy- lots of space on the streets. Working w/ Audrey was lovely. The Bad: I’ve never stayed in a VRBO that didn’t have a few basics to start … paper towels, tissues, dish detergent, beach towels (if a beach vay cay), ice/ice cube trays for freezer, oven mitts or kitchen towels for oven, kitchen hand soap, a few pods/detergent for washing machine, etc. The Ugly: This was by far the dirtiest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. There were stains all over the pillows, sheets, towels, mattress cover. It was cheap IKEA linens- so easily replaceable. There was hair and dirt on the couch mattress. The bathroom had black mold and mildew everywhere, including the shower curtain (which was a cheap plastic one that could be easily replaced). Some bleach and cleaning supplies would go a long way in this place.

Practically perfect!

I stayed here for the month of October. For the most part this apartment is fantastic. It looks just like the pictures. It is quiet and there is an elevator. The main room is large, as is the bathroom ; there is loads of storage space ; and the view from the terrace and from inside the apartment is incredible – not only during the day, but at night when you can watch the lighthouse blinking at the end of Cap Ferrat. (And if you’re lucky, someone, reputedly a rich Russian, will shoot off fireworks from Cap Ferrat one Saturday night and you will be even further in awe.) There is a rooftop pool with a view that is even just a bit better. Villefranche-sur-Mer is steep wherever you are (unless you stay in the old town, near the water and the restaurants), and to get anywhere you have to walk up and down lots of steps, or steep streets without much in the way of sidewalks, but that is Villefranche – and for me, the location of this apartment was ideal. I do have to add that some details are lacking – e.g., there is no TV; some lights and outlets don’t work; there’s a thick layer of ice inside the fridge, which should be replaced; etc. Still, even writing this, I wish I were back in Villefranche-sur-Mer and in this apartment.

Short break

Compact appartment, perfect for two people. Wonderful views from the balcony and we definitely appreciated the rooftop pool. Appt is quite elevated, but the No80 bus goes straight from the beach and directly past the property should you be reluctant to tackle the 400+ steps. We had a great time. Thanks Audrey.
