Dear Rosemary, Thank you for taking the time to review the property. We're sorry you didn't enjoy your time at the barn to the full. An early check-in is possible if requested, as we have explained to you. It would have been possible in your case but unfortunately you did not request one. No fee has ever to date been charged to a guest for an early check-in, but we have the right to of course if it is inconvenient. The barn is really well-equipped with everything you need for a really good quality self-catering stay, with spares of everything in case something is not to your satisfaction. We ask our guests to communicate constructively with us if there is anything amiss throughout their stay and do our best to remedy it. This is our home and the quality of what we provide in the barn reflects that and that we do our utmost to make sure guests have a pleasant and relaxing a stay as possible. We're sorry that you haven't felt this was your experience.

Dear Tracey, thank you for your four-star review, we’re really pleased you obviously enjoyed the barn but sorry if things weren’t quite as you expected. If you felt that this was the case we do so wish you had bought it to our attention straight away so that we could have rectified it whilst you were there to ensure your stay was everything you wanted. We leave our personal email and telephone numbers for that reason as we do want people to contact us if anything concerns them when they arrive or at any point throughout their stay. The barn is a unique property, centuries old stone wall building not built to modern standards and on a riverbank; occasionally with Welsh weather it can need an extra air or the use of the dehumidifier that we leave in the property for guests to use as much as they wish, especially if guests do washing and dry clothes indoors. We’re glad anyway that you found enough positive aspects to leave a four star review for your stay.
