Old manor house with a large patio and small pool in the beautiful historic center of Oropesa de Toledo, an hour and a half from Madrid and 20 minutes from La Vera and the Sierra de Gredos mountains. Recently restored and decorated with great attention to detail, the house is filled with antiques and works of art.
The house, with approximately 350 square meters of living space, features a large open-plan area on the ground floor, extending from the entrance to the patio. This area includes a living room with a wood-burning stove, an open-plan kitchen with a breakfast bar, and a dining table for eight. A large window that can be fully opened overlooks a lovely private walled patio with a small 2x3 meter pool and outdoor furniture. From the living room/kitchen, a door leads to a spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
On the first floor, there is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and another double bedroom with two single beds. This second bedroom has a door leading to a terrace with sun loungers and views of the patio, and its own bathroom is also accessible from the hallway.
On the third floor, there is a beautiful, spacious attic room with two trundle beds for four people, as well as another double bedroom with a sliding door in an old archway. On this floor, there is a bathroom with a shower shared by the two bedrooms, accessed from the open-plan room.
All the rooms have windows with beautiful views of the historic buildings surrounding the house.
All bedrooms have air conditioning.
The ground floor has underfloor heating, while the other floors have radiators.
The house is located opposite a church in a quiet area of the historic center of Oropesa de Toledo, a charming town with typical Toledo architecture and numerous historic buildings, most notably the Castle of the Counts of Oropesa, now a Parador hotel. The town also boasts a wide variety of excellent restaurants and shops.
The house is an hour and a half drive from Madrid, and half an hour from the natural paradise of La Vera, at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos, with countless beautiful mountain trails and idyllic gorges with pools for swimming.
