Abruzzo Visit 2023

Our stay was wonderful and relaxing after the hussle and bussel of visiting Venice, Florence and Rome. We chose Le Galelle B&B because it was very close to where my husband’s grandfather migrated from and we wanted to explore the area. Simon & Monica were very gracious hosts and we would certainly visit their property again if we return to Rosciano.

Warm welcome and beautiful location!!

Thanks to Simon and Monica for hosting my parents in their lovely home. They were welcomed and felt at home as soon as they arrived. The rooms are clean and spacious, plenty of garden and property to walk around on, and the view is amazing! Absolutely splendid! They are looking forward to another trip soon!

Beauty and Tranquility

This is our second stay here albeit 10 years apart. We loved it so much the first time, we had to come again! Simon and Monica are excellent hosts and Reggie and Jasmine are the best co-hosts ever!! So cute!! Thanks for a beautiful stay!!

Monica and Simon are great hosts. They met us at the car before we could get out. Monica led us on a tour of the apartment along with their two adorable children. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities needed to cook a meal. The views of the distant mountains, nearby olive groves and vineyards made it extra special. We were treated more like visiting friends than a random guest. There was a bottle of good and refreshing Prosecco in the refrigerator. A definite welcome after a long day traveling. Monica also made reservations at a local restaurant for us which was welcome. Casa Le Galelle is perfect for rest, relaxing and being centrally located between mountains and sea.

L'appartamento è molto spazioso e confortevole, anche se l'arredamento è un po' sommario: in particolare la dotazione della cucina potrebbe essere migliorata. Il bagno è ampio, con una cabina doccia di proporzioni generose. Dai balconi si gode una vista incantevole sul paesaggio collinare. I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili: abbiamo apprezzato i fichi e le uova fresche di cui ci hanno fatto omaggio.

Simon e Monica con i loro bimbi ci hanno accolto calorosamente nella loro bellissima casa,un angolo di paradiso in campagna ,lontano quanto basta per rilassarsi ma vicino comunque a tutto cio' che serve e a 20 minuti dal mareAbbiamo avuto a nostra disposizione tutta la casa essendo gli unici ospiti a luglio .Siamo stati benissimo il posto e' pulitissimo,il bagno ha una doccia enorme e la cucina e' rifornita di tutto ,"Alla sera fa fresco,quindi si dorme da dio e dai terrazzi si hai una con una vista meravigliosa sulla Maiella ...poi che dire .Monica ci ha viziati con le uova fresche delle sue galline ,nn potevamo stare meglio"grazie Simon e Monica!

Great spot for exploring Abruzzo

We had a great week at this spacious, clean house. The pictures in the ad don't do it justice. The house is huge and has a nice atmosphere. The owners, Simon and Monica are very friendly and have two adorable children. You can ask them anything and are great fun to talk to, but at the same time they respect your privacy. Great combination! The house is in a perfect location for exploring the region and we would certainly recommend staying here. I'm quite sure we will rent this house again if we decide to visit Abruzzo again.

Beautiful get-away in the stunning Italian Countryside - perfect place to relax and recharge

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay here. It was the perfect place to end our holiday - incredibly relaxing and stunning views from the house. Enjoyed lovely dinners / bbqs and lots of great local wine overlooking the Abruzzo hills. The apartment is very spacious, clean and well-equipped and Monica and Simon (and Reggie, Jasmine and Honey!) were fantastic and very welcoming hosts. Couldn't recommend this property enough. So much to do nearby - great beaches, walks, lovely local towns, restaurants and bars. Look forward to coming again for a longer visit! Thanks :)

Total Tranquility

A Very straightforward drive from Pascara Airport. Useful Tip,put the address as 15 Le Galelle B&B on your satnav. The apartment is clean,comfortable and very spacious with lovely warm radiators throughout.A Car is essential as even a long walk allows very limited shopping for basic provisions..Restaurants ,shopping centres and other scenic locations are within easy reach by car,as local public transport is extremely limited. The hosts Simon and Monica were always willing to offer help and advise on any issues.The other welcoming family members include the 3 year old son Reggie and not forgetting Honey the dog always comes running with a welcoming woof!. This very quiet location with the snow capped appenine mountain range in the background,is ideal for walking,running,cycling etc. We wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation with pleasant climate even in December, although it's early winter. A tonic for the lungs!! Thanks Simon and Monica.

Schöne zweckmäßig eingerichtete Wohnung!

Die Wohnung liegt im ersten Stock eines Zweifamilienhauses. Die Vermieter wohnen darunter und sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Von dem Haus aus, kann man in 30 min in die Berge fahren, 15 min sind es zu einem großen Einkauszentrum. In der Nachsaison sind die meisten Restaurants geschlossen oder machen wirklich erst am Abend auf. Wer es sehr ruhig haben will, wird die drei Balkone genießen. In der Küche ist alles wichtige vorhanden und Platz genug zum Kochen ist auch da. Wir fanden den Majella-Nationalpark sehr sehenswert und sind dank Googlemaps auch fast immer da angekommen, wo wir hinwollten. Touristische Attraktionen sind nicht unbedingt gut beschildert und man sollte sich deshalb vorher eingehend damit beschäftigen, wo man hin will, wird dann aber mit atemberaubenden Ausblicken belohnt.

super spacious and clean and central location

We were offerend a warm welcome by friendly owners Monica and Simon on our arrival, late one evening as they helped us order the most delicious pizza's. Throughout our stay we had the loveliest conversations and enjoyed a play with their cute son Reggi. Simon and Monica were always at hand for good advise on local visits and practicalities. The house is super clean with huge rooms all with balconies and equipped with everything you need and more. The location is ideal; close to motorway and airport, yet quiet in the middle of olive groves and centrally located within easy driving distance between the beautiful national parks and the coast.

Difficult to beat

Surpassed all our expectations. Two balconies, both overlooking stunning views, and providing sun or shade depending on what we wanted. Plunge pool perfect to cool off. Lovely outside garden space with loungers, chairs, table, etc. Bikes available from the owner, free of charge - brilliant to ride to local hill town and round about. Car definitely needed - we drove to various starting points for a variety of beautiful walks - lots of hills, not for softies, but simply gorgeous surroundings. Visited the obvious local towns/cities - not a single disappointment. Simon and Monica could not have been more friendly and helpful. A perfect holiday, thank you both.
