Carreg y Garth Isaf (The Lower Battle Rock) is a stone built farmhouse that dates back to the 18th Century. Once owned by the landowner Lord Pennant of Penrhyn Castle, the owner of the largest slate quarry in Europe, The Penrhyn Quarry and sugar plantations in Jamaica. Today, it is still used as a smallholding with ducks, hens, jacob sheep and pigs.
Carreg y Garth Isaf is perfectly located on the foothills of Snowdonia where so many amenities are easily within reach. There is something for everyone in the area ranging from one of the longest and fastest zip wire rides in the world to leisurely beach walks along the many beaches and so much more.
