Stunning views, extremely quiet

The top floor apartment provided spectacular views and a peaceful experience. The fireplace provided for relaxing evenings. The apartment was well furnished, clean and comfortable.

An amazing apartment!

Selinia, as well as this apartment is the perfect place to go to if you´re stressed and need to relax and calm down. The apartment has a fantastic view and just sitting inside on the sofa or on the balcony outside looking out over the sea makes you feel quite relaxed. Salamina is a quiet, nice, not a too touristic island, somewhere to explore Greece away from all the shops and all inclusive hotels etc. There are a couple of really nice beaches in Selinia and just a few metres from the house itself, you can enjoy your very own almost private beach spot. If you´re into snorkling, you won´t get disappointed and especially at Limniona Bay (one of the beaches) there are plenty of fishes, sea urchins etc. Athens is just a boat trip away if you want some more cultural experiences or (some good shopping). Anthony is the perfect landlord and he helped us with everything and took such a good care of us without being intrusive. The apartment is just fabulous, it has everything you need. A perfect home away from home!

Wow!

This property is idyllic and certainly has the Wow factor! The walls of glass afford amazing views across the sea towards Piraeus, and the sea front is just below the property, with a lovely little cove for sunbathing and swimming within 5 mins walk. The apartment is modern and very well equipped with a/c, comfortable beds and everything necessary for self catering - although the restaurants, bars and shops of Selinia are only a 10 - 15 minute walk away for eating out. Antony is the perfect host: on hand, but not intrusive, and very kindly ran us to and from the port on our arrival and departure. The fridge is well stocked with water, butter, honey and jam, and crispbreads, teas, coffee and condiments are also provided. The passenger ferry runs from Piraeus to Selinia 5 or 6 times a day and the fare is just 3 euro (single fare), and I believe there is a car ferry from Perama on the mainland to Paloukia further up the coast from Selinia. I was pleasantly surprised by this island: it is not touristy - no coach trips, 'tat' shops (as my husband calls them!), or Greek dancing displays, and there wasn't even Moussaka in the restaurants - but the locals are friendly, the food and wine are good although some of the bars only sell beer and spirits, and it has good walking routes and a very laid back vibe. Downsides? None really, although the apartment is reached by an external flight of steps, so may be a challenge for the less mobile. If you are looking for a relatively undiscovered destination for complete relaxation, why not give Salamina a try, and for your accommodation it doesn't come any better than Relaxing Seaside House. 9

Unieke locatie met een geweldig uitzicht.

De woning is wat ouder en dat is op sommige plekken wel te zien, maar dat is allemaal bijzaak zodra je het uitzicht hebt gezien. De ligging is heerlijk rustig met de nodige restaurantjes op loopafstand. Er op uit naar Athene is simpel via de ferry, maar ook op het eiland zelf is genoeg te doen. Na een dagje strand of er op uit, is het heerlijk "thuis" komen met een grote woonkamer en keuken, twee slaapkamers en twee badkamers. Alles netjes en schoon en boven allen een zeer gastvrije eigenaar die ook nog allerlei tips geeft over de beste adresjes op het eiland. Ruim voor vertrek neemt hij (Anthony) al contact op om details af te stemmen en je te voorzien van de benodigde details voor je reis naar de woning. Kortom een heerlijke en gastvrije plek. Wij hebben met twee stellen heerlijk genoten. Het uitzicht op de haven is een levend schilderij zowel overdag als 's nachts.

Relaxing Seaside House

Husband and I spent a glorious week getting away from it all, on this not very touristed island last month. The weather was warm, a fantastic view from the house, of the sea and other islands. Antony is a brilliant host, who is always ready to help you with any enquiries you may have.

Amazing view and quiet relaxing home

We spend our winter holiday at Antonys Seaside house. The view from the living room and the bedroom is really amazing. You get the feeling the see is just below you. The home is clean and offers everything you need to spend a relaxing and romantic winter holiday. The burning fire in the fireplace and the full moon over Athens and the see is gorgeous. The home has central heating and was cosy warm in the cold nights. The kitchen is well equiped and with that view a lot of fun to have dinner at home and just enjoy looking at Athens from a quiet warm place. WLAN worked perfect. Antony is a kind and helpful host. We had a wonderful relaxing and quiet holiday there.

Fantastische Aussicht

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr groß und hat eine fantastische Aussicht über den Saronischen Golf mit Piräus als Mittelpunkt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gibt sogar einen Mikrowellenherd und einen geräumigen Kühlschrank mit zusätzlichem Tiefkühlschrank, so dass man sich auch Eiswürfel machen kann. Für Urlaubsköche ist also bestens gesorgt. Der Strand ist direkt vor dem Haus. Da es sich um einen Felsstrand handelt leuchtet er immer klar in wunderbarem Türkis. Man muss hier unbedingt schnorcheln. Es gibt eine Vielzahl von Fischen zu bestaunen. Antony ist ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, der sich perfekt um seine Gäste kümmert. Man merkt ihm an, dass er möchte, dass sich seine Gäste wohlfühlen. Alles in allem ein sehr entspannender Urlaub, genauso wie es in der Anzeige hieß: Relaxing Seaside House". Stimmt!!!
