Let me start by saying that this was the worst accommodation of our entire 2.5-week trip around Italy, despite being one of the most expensive.
The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning. With temperatures reaching 38°C (100°F) during the day and staying around 23°C (73°F) at night, coming back to the apartment felt like a punishment rather than a rest. After a difficult night, we woke up exhausted. By 8:00 a.m. the heat was already overwhelming, and we could barely make it to the beach, where the sea was our only relief. Every day, we dreaded returning to the apartment.
Sleeping was miserable. The only way to cool the rooms was to open the windows, but there were no mosquito screens. Within minutes, the rooms filled with mosquitoes and other bugs. My kids were covered in bites and spent the next day itching all over the beach.
To make matters worse, pit bikes and motorcycles were roaring through the area until 2:00 a.m., making it nearly impossible to get proper rest.
If you are coming from a country that has already unlocked air-conditioning technology, you definitely MUST avoid this place. There are many other accommodations nearby with AC, and the difference is night and day.
Finally, the apartment was not clean and was missing basic necessities such as toilet paper and hand soap.
