Perfect family vacation with 5 children and 2 dogs

Lots of space, lovely pool, a beautiful view and friendly people. Our vacation was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Children and dogs are welcome there. We would love to come back.

BE AWARE , OTHER PEOPLE LIVES IN THE HOUSE + AGGRESSIVE DOG NEARBY

Our stay was disappointing and far from what was advertised. The listing failed to mention that the house is shared. The owner’s cousin, his girlfriend, an elderly lady, and random guests were constantly present, making it feel far from private. After our 1300 km journey, we discovered a broken bedroom lock, which I had to fix myself after hours of struggling, as the host offered no help. The worst part was when a neighbor’s aggressive German Shepherd entered the property and attacked our dog while my wife and 2-year-old daughter were in the garden. My wife had to fend off the dog, and our daughter was left traumatized, crying for days. The house was poorly equipped: the kitchen was outdated, there were no basic cleaning supplies (not even dish soap or a mop), and essentials like salt, pepper, or enough cups were missing. There were old, smelly car tires in the basement, and the beds had no proper mattresses. We had to buy all cleaning products ourselves, including laundry detergent. The property owner, living in France, seemed indifferent to guest issues. The house needed a deep clean, and during our stay, we all got food poisoning. Future guests should be aware of the poor hygiene and safety concerns.

Prachtige omgeving. Voor ieder die graag in een natuurrijke en rustige omgeving is, is dit huis een aanrader.Heerlijk gezinshuis met goede slaapkamers en eigen badkamers.

Magnifique

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve à Vico dans la casa dei nonni Cette demeure est magnifique, spacieuse, propre et bien équipée . La terrasse et la piscine offrent des vues magnifiques. Le propriétaire est réactif aux messages et nous avons été accueilli chaleureusement avec un petit cadeau de bienvenue merci beaucoup. La région est superbe et il y’a beaucoup de belles choses à découvrir et à faire. Je recommande vivement de venir vous relaxer et vivre au rythme du clocher du village, de vous perdre dans ses rues et de terminer à la terrasse de son restaurant.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour en famille et entre amis à la Casa dei Nonni. Nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux de notre hôte et des gens qui habitent les étages supérieurs de la propriété. C'était toujours un réel plaisir d'échanger avec eux. La maison, très confortable, est propre, spacieuse et bien équipée. La vue de la terrasse est à couper le souffle. Après de longues journées à découvrir les environs, la piscine nous a offert de beaux moments de détente et a été particulièrement appréciée par nos enfants. Nous allons chérir pour toujours les souvenirs de notre séjour à Vico. Le restaurant du village offre une cuisine authentique exceptionnelle, c'est à ne pas manquer.

Wundervolles Apartment in den toskanischen Bergen

Sehr schön insgesamt! Luisa, die Wirtin des Restaurants war eine ganz zauberhafte Gastgeberin. Es wäre aber wichtig, im Inserat genau zu sagen, dass man in der Ferienwohnung nicht alleine ist. Die beiden oberen Geschosse sind ebenfalls bewohnt.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle extrem entspannte Woche. Das Haus ist traumhaft schön, die exklusiven Badezimmer in jedem Schlafzimmer purer Luxus, der Pool ausreichend groß und sauber mit herrlicher Aussicht, die Terasse vor dem Haus vor allem abends gut zum Essen zu nutzen. Die Küche hat alles, was man braucht. WLAN ist vor allem in Küche und Wohnzimmer gut. Die Betten sind bequem, Waschmaschine einfach zu bedienen. Ein Wäschegestell wäre noch nützlich, da die Wäsche in der Waschküche nur langsam trocknet. Die Kaffeetassen sind sehr klein. Wer gern Kaffee aus größeren Bechern trinkt, sollte sich welche mitbringen (wir haben unsere auf Reisen immer dabei). Es gab ausreichend Handtücher, kuschelig weich). Ein großes Gefrierfach ist auch vorhanden. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das Abendessen im Restaurant bei Luisa. Nie zuvor haben wir so gut gegessen. Unbedingt vorher reservieren. Danke für eine wunderschöne Woche!

Entspannung in toskanischer Bergwelt

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt unterhalb der Kirche. Wir haben hier zwei entspannte Wochen verbracht. Der Blick von der Terrasse und auch vom Pool ist atemberaubend, das Haus in gutem Standard renoviert. Walter, der Vater des Anbieters, kümmert sich rührend um das Anwesen und stand uns jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung. Die Wohnung besteht aus zwei Schlafräumen mit jeweils eigenem Bad im EG und zwei weiteren im UG. Im EG finden sich weiterhin Küche und Wohnraum. Im Haus wohnen im 1. und 2. OG zwei reizende ältere Damen, mit denen man sich Eingang und Diele teilt. Die Küche ist mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet, den Einsatz des Backofens sollte man abstimmen mit anderen größeren Verbrauchern im Haus, da die Sicherung regelmäßig rausfliegt. WLAN funktioniert gut im Umkreis von etwa 8 Metern des Routers. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist bis auf die letzten 100 Meter problemlos, danach wird es enger und mit größeren Fahrzeugen ist etwas Können beim Rangieren erforderlich, der Parkplatz zum Haus ist hingegen großzügig. Das Restaurant Buca di Baldabo im Ort ist Donnerstag bis Sonntag geöffnet und sehr zu empfehlen. Dort arbeitet auch Luisa, von der man die Schlüssel zur Unterkunft erhält, hervorragend englisch spricht und einfach eine tolle Gastgeberin ist. Der nächste Supermarkt ist der Conad City in Bagni di Lucca, etwa 20 Autominuten entfernt. Vom Ort gibt es Wanderwege zum Croce di Castello (leicht), Balzo Nero (mittel) und Balzo Rosso (schwer). Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert.

Perfekte Unterkunft auch für etwas größere Gruppen in herrlicher Lage

Der Ausblick auf die Berge ist wahnsinnig schön, zum Glück kann man ihn von Terrasse und Pool aus jederzeit genießen. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, schön und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet, die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war unkompliziert und nett. Die Schlüssel haben wir bei Luisa abgeholt, die das Restaurant im Ort betreibt - in dem man unbedingt gegessen haben sollte, das Essen ist sensationell, die Atmosphäre entspannt und familiär. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Man braucht allerdings ein Auto, der Ort ist etwas ab vom Schuss, zum Einkaufen sind es ca 20 Min Fahrt über die Serpentinen. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Beatiful place

We loved our stay in Casa dei Nonni and would love to come back! The view is amazing, it is quiet and relaxing! The pool was bigger than it looks on the pictures! Sharing the house with those who live there full-time was no problem. They were friendly and helpful! Because of the shared entrace and the way the bedroom are (ground floor and basement feels separates) I find it not suitable for families with young children. Our kids/teenagers are 11,14 and 17 so it was no problem for us! Do not miss the ice-cream van or the bread-car coming up to the house! Also make sure you pay a visit to the local restaurant, go swimming in the river, try the nearby bridge and visit the village Lucchio! The signals for wifi downstairs in the bedrooms are bot working/not good- but that didnt bother me. I loved Vico and would very much like to come back!

Heerlijke rustige plek

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. het huis lag wat hoger en verder dan we verwacht hadden, maar de rust, het zwembad en de gezellige dames boven ons, maakte dat allemaal goed,. Je hebt een auto nodig om de buurt te verkennen, maar met de 30+ graden hebben we veelal in het zwembad gelegen. De bakker, groenteboer, ijscoman komen helemaal de berg op. We zijn er helemaal tot rust gekomen.

Wer einen Platz zum Entspannen sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung und die "Haussitterin" Luisa ist immer und sofort Hilfsbereit wenn man mal eine Auskunft oder sonstiges benötigt. Der Kontakt mit dem Hausherrn war auch zu jederzeit freundlich....Außerdem hatten wir in dem Restaurant, etwas gehobene Preise, die beste Pasta unseres Lebens

La Case dei Nonni is a wonderful place to stay and relax and just unwind from our busy lifes.

It's been a great experience from renting Julienne's place to arriving and of course the stay. The description was absolutely spot on, the space spotless and clean and we felt welcome and respected at all times. The house is shared with Naima - a lovely lady who was helpful and so wonderful to speak to a real pleasure, another elderly couple and a young man who I believe the upstairs flat is rented out to. despite the entrance hall being shared we could hardly hear anyone else in the house. The house itself is stunning and spacious and the heated pool an absolute bonus to escape from those hot summer days or to just dive into in the evening. The locals are all friendly and open and it's a must for anyone to take the time to visit the village itself. The history is amazing and it's obvious that the locals love their homes and help each other in a very close community. Amazing to see and something we wish to see more often elsewhere too. If you are wanting to see places, everything is in relatively easy reach but a car a must. If it's family activities, sightseeing or visits to the sea side there's is something to do for everyone but the best one of all probably would be the one right on the doorstep, hiking up into those stunning mountains. However, be prepared with all equipment to be save at all times. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend this place to anyone who loves the getaway from our busy lives, likes the mountains and fresh air and just wants to relax and unwind. Personally O would love to come back one day and see more of the area.

Going back in time

Vico Pancellorum is a little and very quaint village located at the end of a very long and windy road. Once you get there you feel like you are going back in time. The views are breathtaking and the local people are incredibly nice. The only restaurant open serves the best hand made pasta I've ever had in my life. La Casa dei Nonni is located at the end of a very narrow road and is facing the mountains. The property is fully renovated and has all the amenities one would need for a comfortable vacation. The outdoors swimming pool has solar heating and it was an incredible treat to go for a night swim under the brilliant stars. We fell in love with Vico and would love to come back. Strongly recommend this property.

Simplement magnifique

Gite idéalement situé pour des vacances au calme.Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve très relaxante... Le restaurant du village nous a également largement aidé dans cette quête de farniente ( je crois que nous y sommes allés 4 fois !). Wonderful house with warm and welcoming people

We stayed in this lovely house and village for two weeks in July 2016. The whole party (8 adults aged 19-60) all enjoyed their holiday in the lovely village. The house is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The views around the pool are spectacular. The house offers enough space for people not to feel over crowded yet homely and perfect for eating on the terrace as a large group. The local Bar/ Restaurant is wonderful. no set menu just what the locals have caught that day! On the upper floors of the house live two very lovely ladies who were so friendly and so helpful especially when we had problems with the hire car they rang a local garage and arranged for the mechanic to take a look. We all really enjoyed our stay and would firmly recommend the house. Only downside would be the size of the garden would have referred something a little larger but that was being very picky.

Casa pulita e confortervole con bellissimo panorama.

L'edificio è composto da piano seminterrato, piano terra , primo e secondo piano. Al primo e secondo piano ci sono due appartamenti che hanno in comune con la Casa dei Nonni solo il corridoio ed il portone d'ingresso. La Casa dei Nonni si compone di: nel piano seminterrato due camere ,ciascuna con proprio bagno + lavanderia, al piano terra due camere ,ciascuna con bagno, + ampia cucina + salotto + terrazza esterna . Tutto è molto curato e pulito , graziosa la piscina , bella la terrazza con panorama dove si può anche mangiare. Siamo stati molto bene. Le persone che ci hanno accolto, così come le persone che vivono nei due appartamenti, sono molto gentili. Consiglio una vacanza nella Casa dei Nonni in questo paese isolato per staccare davvero da tutto ( scarsa rete internet e telefonica).Raccomandazioni: portare con sé tutto il necessario, compresi i medicinali, perché non ci sono negozi né famacie nell'arco di 10 km. Tanto più se cercate una farmacia in piena notte come è capitato a me ( distanza 25 km).
