The Old Rectory offers six luxurious and comfortable rooms, shared large open living spaces and generous gardens. As guests arrive they are greeted by many original features which have been carefully restored and once inside the Old Rectory has been thoughtfully decorated with period furniture, in keeping with the buildings former purpose. With its powder painted walls, a luxury pale grey carpet, stained ground floor timbers and antique furniture, the Old Rectory provides luxurious accommodation for those who are looking for the perfect country escape.
Set over two floors, the Massingberd-Mundy The Old Rectory benefits from high ceilings and large open plan rooms which are bright and airy.
Once guests enter through the porch and front door they are greeted with a light and open reception room, within the reception room there are places to store shoes, hang coats and place wet umbrellas when the 'typical English weather' takes hold.
Downstairs within the property you will find the shared Games Room and shared lounge.
Also, downstairs there is an easy accessible Bedroom.
The shared games room hosts relaxed seating and ample space for all the guests to enjoy.
The large comfortable shared lounge boasts stunning views over the Lincolnshire Wolds, which can be enjoyed in the relaxing luxurious Chesterfield style sofas and beautifully crafted period furniture, guests can unwind after long walks in comforting surroundings.
The period dining table has room to seat twelve and provides the perfect backdrop to entertain - unfortunately due to the current covid-19 situation we are unable to offer a cooked breakfast and use of the dining room at this time.
Walking through the rear of the Kitchen will provide access to both the terrace and downstairs accessible bedroom, located at the rear of the property.
On the terrace guests can enjoy the extensive beautiful gardens and will find the perfect space to rest and wind while in the fresh air while admiring the stunning views.
Once Guests make their way up the stunning sweeping staircase, they are greeted with the further five bedrooms of the property. Four beautiful, generously sized, and individually decorated double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and an elegant twin bedroom with separate private bathroom located at the end of the hall, provide guests with luxurious and comfortable space to relax and rest their head. All equipped with modern features and plush comfy beds guests can be sure they will wake feeling relaxed and ready to take on the day ahead.
The Old Rectory is surrounded with stunning countryside, and provides the perfect location for walking and cycling. With the Massingberd Arms pub, located a short walk away, there is no reason not to head out and explore the local surrounds.
The property is only a 20-minute drive from the historic market towns of Louth, Horncastle, Market Rasen and Alford, where you can find local amenities and places to eat and explore. It is also a short journey to the east coast, where you can find pretty coastal towns of Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton on sea, as well as Rimac Nature Reserve, and The Seal Sanctuary Wildlife Centre which make fantastic days out for all the family to enjoy.
