A beautiful property, surrounded by trees and views of Cucuron and the Luberon, about half an hour's walk from the village. The pool is immaculately kept (thank you, Frederic!) and has comfortable loungers and chairs with plenty of shade for the hotter times of day. The gite is spacious and well equipped - it's much bigger than the photos suggest, which is a bonus. We loved the piano and the extensive library, as well as the comfortable bed.The kitchen area has plenty of utensils, an oven/microwave and a gas hob as well as a fridge; this doesn't have a freezer compartment but there is a separate fridge/freezer in the pool house. It was so helpful to have a range of spices, oil, and vinegar for cooking, as well as tea and coffee, and the delicious bottle of wine was the perfect welcome.Mireille and Frederic are charming hosts - we hardly saw them but their introduction to the gite was clear and they supplied written information for us as well as a phone number. All we had to do was pick up the phone if we needed anything - this meant we had a blissfully quiet holiday with no intrusion. As we knew the area well, we didn't need to ask for information; however, there are plenty of leaflets, maps and books and Mireille and Frederic would have been only too happy to advise us.Thank you, Mireille and Frederic, for a lovely holiday!
