Charming and comfortable barn conversion in beautiful Burnsall

Enjoy beautiful Burnsall and the wonders of the Wharfe Valley from your base at the charming and comfortable Village Barn. Retaining much of the character and charm of its original 18th century construction, Village Barn comfortably accommodates up to 8 people with 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms and two large bathrooms on the 1st floor, all centrally heated. The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable lounge equipped with a log burner and a large, 8-seater dining room, also with a log burner. The younger set have their own TV/games room equipped with a Play Station 4 and a selection of games or use this space to watch a DVD or read a book in splendid isolation! The Barn has a well-appointed kitchen with a large induction hob and double ovens, perfect for cooking a large meal for friends and family. A Nespresso Virtuo coffee maker is provided for coffee lovers with pods available against a small donation to Mountain Rescue. A separate utility room accommodates a fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. Outside you will find a sunny barbeque area with outdoor seating. The Barn offers views over the village green and the River Wharfe to the fells beyond.

All within a short walk of the Village Barn is a wonderful pub, a gourmet café and a delectable ice cream kiosk. Across the iconic 5-arch stone bridge is an attractive green, perfect for a picnic and along the River Wharfe you will find a fantastic pebbly beach with shallow access to the river.

Situated on the banks of the River Wharfe, Burnsall is a delightful Dales village with a rich history and because of its picture postcard beauty, Burnsall attracts many couples looking for the perfect setting for their wedding and is also a dream holiday destination for families and a mecca for walkers, cyclists and anglers.

The property and the communication with Pam were both excellent nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend this property. The beds were wonderfully comfortably and the house was warm and comfortable. Walks were right on the doorstep and we had a fabulous 4 days. We will be back - thank you Pam

Excellent communication with the host prior to arrival, lovely cozy barn with everything you could possibly need for a super relaxing stay. Beds were really comfortable with crisp white bedding. Plenty of space for our group of 6 with a games room for younger members. The pub next door was an added bonus with friendly staff serving really good home cooked food.Absolutely excellent place to stay when visiting this beautiful area!

Beautiful converted barn in a lovely setting - views of the river, pub next door & coffee shop 5 mins walk on the Green. Very well presented with absolutely everything you need. Beds & pillows very comfy. Lots of places to visit in the area especially Bolton Abbey, Grassington , great restaurants & shopping in Skipton & Ilkley. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay here. It was a great space for two families, in the perfect location next door to the pub and the river with safe paddling for the kids. The house is one of the best appointed holiday homes we’ve stayed in with everything you need in the kitchen to make large family meals, lots of books and games and plenty of communal space to spread out in. We had a fantastic time and would love to return!

This amazing cottage was the perfect place to stay for a short break in the Dales which included our son's wedding in the nearby Barden Priory. The cottage was very spacious with 4 bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a shower rom upstairs. Beds were extremely comfortable with quality cotton bedding used.Downstairs was absolutely amazing. Spacious lounge with leather seating,a huge dining room that apparently used to be a shop, a games room, utility room and the most incredible kitchen......and that cooker.. Just wow.The location was perfect. Next door to The Red Lion pub . Some scenes from the 2003 film Calender Girls were filmed at the Red Lion pub.Everything about the cottage, the location and the beautiful village of Burnsall contributed to a most magical time for our son's wedding.

Our trip to Village Barn

Four ex uni friends on a 3 day walking holiday. This was a perfect location for us and having the excellent Red Lion next door was an added bonus!The property is lovely - excellent rooms and all the facilities you could possibly need. Our host was helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend with no reservations at all.

Perfect

A beautifully restored barn in a gorgeous village, which has wonderful opportunities for walks from the door. A very classy property which we absolutely loved. The village has excellent cafés, pub and ice cream shop but it’s tiny and beautiful. The surrounding areas are absolutely stunning. This barn had ample room for seven of us and all the things that we needed absolutely adored it.

We had a lovely stay with family at the Village Barn. Deceptively spacious, really well presented and clean, and located in a great village. Properties often promise all you could need but generally fall short; not so here. Pam was great to communicate with throughout. Will definitely look to return soon.

Lovely stay in Burnsall

This was our family’s second time staying at the Village Barn. We loved this stay just as much, if not more, than the last time. The house is lovely with thoughtful touches throughout, the kitchen has everything you need for meal prep and the location is wonderful.

Long weekend

We go to the Dales every May Springbank weekend.This was definitely the most relaxing weekend we've had Excellent cottage, large spaces, plenty of room to relax.Located perfectly in Burnsall, close to all the amenities.If you enjoy walking, easy walks to Appletreewick, Grassington and Hebden.We've already rebooked for a full week next year.Thank you Pam.

Modernized charm

Our group of four retired ladies enjoyed our stay very much. The property was clean and very comfortable. It has been beautifully renovated and would be perfect for a family. The only negative was the lack of a bathroom on the ground floor. For us, that was an inconvenience which wouldn’t bother younger travelers.

Perfect!

We (6 adults and 2 teenagers - 3 generations) spent an amazing, long Easter weekend in the Village Barn. It was very well equipped, clean, full of charm and character. We managed to park 2 largish cars on the driveway. Great location, right in the heart of Burnsall, next to the Red Lion, where we had Sunday roast- highly recommended.We did a walk from to barn to Grassington and some beautiful walks from a short drive away. Pam is an excellent host with great communication. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to return one day.

Wonderful property, wonderful location

This beautiful cottage has been renovated with superb taste and high quality appliances and it is well equipped for every need. The location is great and we so enjoyed the little village and picturesque walks along the river. The pub next door was a great hit as was the ice cream shop! The owner was very responsive to our questions and quick to reply. We would love to return one day!

Family stay

We loved our stay at the barn in Burnsall. The location is great and the barn is comfortable and well equipped with lovely beds and bedding and plenty of utensils in the kitchen for making a proper meal. Very much recommend for a gathering with family or friends.

A Christmas to remember!

The barn is stunning, so well equipped and in an idyllic location. We had a great stay and really appreciated the lovely touches Pam provided.The communication was excellent and we genuinely cannot find a fault!!Thank you for having us!
