I reviewed all the reviews and don't have much more to add to all of the superlatives. It is a great place to stay and Maria was wonderful and responsive! We absolutely loved the pool area and had the place to ourselves. My brother stayed down the beach at the Coast Hotel and I have no doubt we had the better accommodation. That being said, there are a few personal observations I believe others may benefit from knowing prior to enjoying this property:
1. The shower pressure is, well, horrible. It pains me to say as the place is so great, but it was really bad.
2. The upstairs apartment is not oceanfront. It is not advertised as such, but from the pictures you may think it is. There are no real ocean views from the actual apartment. It is more of an "in-law" apartment in the back of the main house (which is ocean front and spectacular).
3. The mattress on the bed is comprised of two single/twin mattresses. Therefore, there is a noticeable crack down the middle where the two mattresses come together.
4. Keys. Maria provides one set of 5 keys and a separate remote (think car fob) for the alarm system at night. There is a key for the apartment, gate to beach, safe, gate to house, and one other. Having only one set of keys can be an issue (note: we never asked for a 2nd set and perhaps she can provide one). So, anytime you leave the property, you need to use at least two different keys to get both out and into the property.
5. Housekeeping. There is a tidying up service provided by Karen Tues, Thurs, and Sat. This was a nice surprise.
Again...save maybe the shower pressure...absolutely none of these nits would prevent me from returning to this wonderful property.
