This comfortable villa for (max) 6 guests is situated in the authentic village of Foz do Arelho. It is centrally located between the city center, the lagoon, and the beach. With a short stroll (+/- 500m), you can find restaurants, cafes, and bars – or the Óbidos Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean. The perfect location for a couple’s getaway or vacation with family and friends.

The villa features modern design, an outside lounge with shared swimming pool, and sun chairs. Behind the villa is a beautiful enclosed patio with barbecue and comfortable garden furnishings. The villa’s ground floor features a modern design living room and dining room, accompanied by a fully equipped kitchen with stove, dishwasher, oven, grill, microwave, and a large refrigerator (with freezer.)

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with two single beds, a roomy closet, and a shared bathroom with lounging bathtub, sink, toilet, and bidet on the royal landing. The master bedroom has a two-persons bed with private bath, walk-in closet, and a safe for valuables. All bedrooms have sliding door access to the balcony with fantastic views of the swimming pool with the breathtaking Óbidos Lagoon in the background.

The location of the unique, authentic village of Foz de Arelho offers immense possibilities for watersports like (kite-)surfing in the Lagoon or Altantic Ocean, swimming, windsurfing, paddle boarding, sailing (sailing school by the Lagoon), fishing, and canoeing in the Óbidos Lagoon, which is a shallow and calm alternative to the ocean, making it a perfect spot for young children. There is also a surfing school in the village.

Around the Lagoon and along the ocean, you can find lovely shopping and biking routes, with bicycles available for rent in the village. About 7km away lies Caldas da Rainha, with the convenience of supermarkets, nice shopping streets, a daily farmer’s market, museums, and a lovely park in the middle of the city.

For the golfers out there, there are plenty of nearby chances to book a tee time. West Cliffs Golf Course and Praia D’el Ray (European Golf Resort of the Year, 2007) are only a 25-minute drive away, while the Golden Eagle Golf Course can be found in nearby Rio Maior.

For lovers of sports, nature, or culture, this region won’t leave you wanting. With all of these amenities, your stay here is sure to be simply remarkable!

Agréable séjour

La maison est conforme à la description. Il y a tout à disposition pour passer un bon séjour. Le logement est à un quart d'heure à pied de la plage. Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire. Le seul bémol est que la piscine n'est pas chauffée ni couverte le soir donc l'eau était froide.

Debated with how to review this property

My sister and I reserved this property for 10 days in October 2023. After consideration, decided to give the property a 2 star review Pros: 1. the town is lovely; good restaurants nearby; 2. property manager was responsive-we couldn't get the water heater or stove top to work; 3. the property is spacious; 4. we left 3 days early & requested a refund of 2 nights. In order to finish this chapter, agreed to the owners' offer of 1 night Cons: 1. the biggest is property had mold and mildew, especially the enclosed basement, where the washer is located. The mold and mildew problem affected us to the point that we both developed several physical symptoms. Even tho it was inconvenient, we were getting sick to the point we decided to leave 3 days early. The symptoms abated the next day, after we checked into another location. 2. all of the soft furnishings in the property, including the comforters and pillows, smelled of mildew. When the property manager came over to fix the gas stove top, we gave her some of the sofa cushions. She smelled them, thanked us for pointing out the problem, and took them away for cleaning; 3. although there was no rain during our stay, being that close to the ocean means there is a lot of moisture in the air, which permeated the property; 4. the WiFi didn't reach the 2d floor, so no/spotty internet; 5. a large spider (about 1 1/2" diameter-can't upload a picture) landed on my back when dressing on last day. My sister killed 2 smaller spiders in bedroom.

Great property, with location close to a fabulous beach and central for sight seeing and playing some great golf courses. It’s our first time to this part of Portugal but it will not be our last

Nice and clean apartment ideal for holidays

Apartment is very cozy and we'll equiped for a summer stay. Foz de arelho is also a great place to visit with kids as the river beaches near the sea are warmer and with no waves. Several nice visits can also be done during your stay (Leiria, Obidos, Tomar...) We will definitely repeat

Nice apartment in For do Arelho

My family enjoyed our stay at this modern well-kept, nicely decorated property. The location was excellent, close to the beach and the main road in and out of Foz. It should be noted that there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms but there are sliding doors to allow air flow from outside. My only complaint was the mustiness of the lower level which wafted up to the first floor living space. Fortunately we spent most of our time out and the musty smell did not travel up to the bedrooms. Overall a pleasant experience.

An excellent apartment in an amazing area of Portugal

We enjoyed a good vacation time in Foz do Arhelo, a wild, but well urbanized area, between Peniche and Nazare. The apartment was excellent, clean, well equipped and with many details that made our stay very pleasant and easy-going. The apartment is full of possibilities, even more than the ones we really made use of. All the indications were clear and straightforward, and host permanently connected and responsive. A perfect choice that met all of our expectations.

Excelente casa, muy buena ubicación.

Encantados con la experiencia. La casa está en una zona tranquila, de nueva construcción, cerca del lago, 10 mnts caminando a la playa y 10mnts al pueblo. Bajando una pequeña cuesta tienes un parque infantil y una senda de paseo al rededor del lago. A la casa no le falta detalle. La cocina es pequeña pero práctica y tiene todo tipo de electrodomésticos. Un menaje de cocina bonito y completo . El salón es amplio, con mucha luz y en general toda la casa decorada con muy buen gusto. Habitación y baños amplios. Un patio exterior muy completo, un rincón muy bonito de la casa con una buena barbacoa. Todo muy limpio. Tiene garaje y un gran espacio de reunión en el sótano. Repetiriamos encantados. En el pueblo hay varios sitios para cenar, dos minisuper, una pizzería que sirve hasta tarde, carnicería, etc. Y para la parte del paseo de la playa hay una gran cantidad de chiringuitos. Nos encantaría volver tanto al pueblo como a la casa. A 8mnts de Caldas de Rainha donde están todos los supermercados que se puedan necesitar además de un mercado de frutas. Muy cerca también de Óbidos y para hacer excursiones o Nazaret o Peniche.

Bel appartement bien situé

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans ce très bel appartement très bien équipé, la piscine est très agréable. Le stationnement dans la rue se fait sans aucun problème. L’appartement est à environ 10min du centre ville et de la plage à pied. Les hôtes sont très disponibles et sympathiques !

A beautiful villa hosted by 2 fantastic owners, and a super responsive local property manager. Centrally located to visit a wonderful beach or to tour Obidos. Our thanks to Jaap, Nynke and Teresa for ensuring that we had a fantastic visit to Foz.

Corresponde às expectativas

As crianças adoraram, começaram a explorar a casa encantadas. A piscina exterior foi a principal atração, não havendo mais ninguém a utilizá-la no período em que lá estivemos.
