Situated in the foothills of the Campsie Fells, these lodges boast stunning views over open countryside. Set in 80-acres of open countryside and direct access onto the fells, the lodges provide a fantastic location for walkers and nature lovers and are a great base for exploring all that central Scotland has to offer. Fishing can be arranged via the owner at Woodburn Fishery and also outdoor sports such as clay pigeon shooting. Both properties have lovely decked areas and private hot tubs from which to admire the stunning views.
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away with walking, cycling, fishing, golfing, horse riding and water sports on offer. Loch Lomond and its inland waters are famous as one of the finest water sport venues in Scotland, with open spaces, sheltered bays and islands to explore. The area holds a magnificent diversity of scenery with dramatic peaks, waterfalls, hidden caves and mysterious forest covered slopes. The city of Glasgow with galleries, museums, historical attractions, superb nightlife and fantastic shopping is a 20-minute drive, or you can easily catch a train. Stirling and Edinburgh are also easily accessible. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
The Clyde can be booked together with The Spey to accommodate up to 12 guests.

Heerlijke, ruime lodge met een onbetaalbaar uitzicht vanuit de lodge en de jacuzzi. Het inventaris was meer dan compleet, inclusief spelletjes/ puzzels voor de kids én er lag wat lekkers voor ze klaar. Hoe leuk! De lodge staat midden in de natuur. Tijdens onze nachtelijke rit naar de luchthaven zelfs een das gespot! Als je buiten filetijden rijdt, ben je in 3 kwartier in Edinburgh.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft für Ruhesuchende

Wir hatten einen richtig schönen Aufenthalt, leider etwas zu kurz (nur 4 Nächte) und leider war das Wetter auch nicht das Beste, aber das sind Punkte für die die Vermieter natürlich nichts können... Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, man hat alles was man braucht, die Bilder im Netz geben den tatsächlichen Zustand gut wieder. Highlight ist natürlich der Whirlpool auf der Terrasse, den wir (trotz schlechten Wetters) ausgiebig genutzt haben.Zur Lage sei noch gesagt, dass man da wirklich ziemlich abseits wohnt. Von der Hauptstrasse führt ein Feldweg (teilweise asphaltiert, teilweise nicht) etwa 2km den Berg hoch, insgesamt befinden sich dort 3 Ferienhäuser. Wir haben die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit genossen :)Einzig kleiner Kritikpunkt ist vielleicht das WLAN, das ist schon eher schwach, bis kaum vorhanden. Für uns war das kein Problem, aber für den ein oder anderen, kann das natürlich ein entscheidender Kritikpunkt sein.Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und sollten wir mal wieder nach Schottland reisen, würden wir jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

Merveilleux endroit

Nous avons ADORÉ notre séjour! Très bien localisé, accueil et service exceptionnel. Dépaysement total, la vue magnifique, très propre, très bien équipe! Parfait Nous avions de la visite des moutons qui broutaient tout juste l’autre côté de la clôture, hirondelles qui virevoltaient et un magnifique paysage. Tranquille, ceux qui aiment prendre un spa seront ravis! Terrasse plus qu’utilisée pendant notre séjour, on a profité de chaque instant. Les propriétaires hyper disponibles, nous avions demandé une chaise haute et un lit de bébés. Le tout nous attendait à notre arrivé avec un joli panier avec des gâteries.

Wonderful experience!

Lovely cabin and impressive surroundings with beautiful views and nature. The hot tub is such a very nice extra. We had a great time! Note: those without a car can still arrive with taxi services but availability during certain times of the day/week can be spotty.

A fantastic small break

A fantastic small break, near enough to Glasgow to visit it easily, and yet in the middle of countryside with tremendous views. The lodge was impeccably clean, warm and a welcoming space. The hot tub a relaxing space. Table and chairs for eating outside in good weather ( we weren't lucky enough). Beds very comfortable. Is there anything I would change? Maybe the living room dining chairs that are not comfortable for a board game of more than 30 minutes - but it would be nit-picking. Would definitely visit again.

Weekend Away

Great stay, well equipped, clean, peaceful and lovely views. Plenty of space for the 6 of us, and we would book again.
