Incredible contemporary architect designed home located in peaceful St Just in Roseland near St Mawes. Dramatic views over St Just Creek towards Mylor and Falmouth.
– Sleeps up to 6 in a king and twin beds, in 2 bedrooms, with sofa bed in living room (additional charge). The king room is ensuite and the twin room has the family bathroom adjacent to it. The property is reverse level so bedrooms are on the ground floor allowing spectacular views from upstairs. In the living room bi-fold doors open to a Juliet balcony to take advantage of the elevated position, views and sunsets. The open plan living area gives a spacious light feeling, fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops and breakfast bar as well as dining area for up to 6 guests. The kitchen has a built in double oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker and all other utensils and items for your stay. There is a utility room on the first floor. The living room has a wood burner and smart TV with separate DVD player. Both the dining and garden table have space for up to 6. The garden is to the front of the house, mainly lawn and hedging with outside furniture. Parking for 1 car and some street parking. Short breaks welcome outside high season and some periods with NHS discount. One small dog is welcome, extra charge. We also have superfast broadband and WiFi and linen is included. Towels included. There is opportunity to hire canoes or stand-up paddle boards & kayaks on the river.
Situated just a few minute’s walk from the water’s edge and the beautiful and historic 13th Century St Just in Roseland Church. There is an amazing café/tea room in the village, a boat yard (launching and mooring) and you can walk beside the estuary (hidden beaches) to St Mawes Castle and on to the historic fishing village. Here you will find boutique shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes around the harbour and even a botanical garden. Take a passenger ferry to Falmouth and pleasure boat cruises to Mylor and Flushing. The King Harry vehicle ferry will take you to Falmouth and Truro with lots to see and do, passing Trellisick National Trust house and gardens. Nearby beaches include Portscatho, Towans, Carne & Pendower Beach is arguably the best beach on the Roseland Peninsula. A mile of mostly sandy beach with one end near Rosevine and the other near Veryan. Attractions such as Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan and Trebah are within easy reach by car.

Great stay!

A very nice stay whereby we could enjoy the great sea view and the wood burning stove. Our host Wendy has been very nice and helpful with us.

Beautiful area

Modern spacious house with beautiful views. Numerous coastal and inland walks to enjoy, ferries to Falmouth, beaches, yachting. Renwicks cafe nearby and good pubs and restaurants in St Mawes.

Perfect Cornwall Getaway

This property was perfect for our 4 days exploring Cornwall. The Roseland Peninsula is stunning. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny weather and we started our day with the amazing view from the living room window.

Excellent Property

The pre holiday information was excellent as were the instructions in the house The property was clean and everything was in place on arrival. Everything we wanted to stay in the house was there, it was very well equipped It was ideally situated to explore the Roseland peninsula and Falmouth.

Lovely house in a beautiful part of Cornwall.

The property was beautifully appointed. It is very spacious and fully equipped. The bedrooms downstairs leaving the upstairs a very spacious living area with the views. Sofa's large and comfortable, beds downstairs very comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped.

Wonderful -highly recommend

What a beautiful property -easy to find in a beautiful area with fab views. The property had everything you need and more especially in the kitchen and is well maintained. Loved the wood burning fire and there was excellent communication from the owner. Great location to enjoy St Mawes and Portcatho. Enjoyed meals at the Hidden Hut and The Standard Inn and easy access to King Harry Ferry. Would highly recommend and would love to come again

Great house with fabulous views

Very comfortable house, well equipped well located and with lovely views. Would certainly recommend. We were 3 adults and 2 small children and the space worked well. Wendy was helpful and friendly - even offered to refund the charge made for the dogs as we decided to leave them behind.

The images online do not do this property justice, it’s amazing! The open plan upstairs, with a stunning view, is much bigger and better than we imagined. All communication with the host was brilliant and we’ve come away thinking when are we next going to book!

Beautiful property with stunning views

Amazing! This is one of the nicest, most well thought out and cleanest holiday properties we have had the pleasure to stay in. The location was ideal with a wide choice of walks and activities such a kayaking within easy reach. Wendy made everything very easy and was great at accommodating a few last minute changes, which we really appreciated!

Expectations met!

We were looking forward to our short stay at Sandbar and weren’t disappointed. A fabulous property in excellent condition with everything you need. And the view from the large bifold windows on the 1st floor is nothing short of spectacular.. we’ll be back, for sure!

This lovely house, with a fabulous view over the Fal, was a pleasure to stay in. Very comfortable and the upside down internal layout meant that the first floor living room had a wonderful view from the picture window. No shops or pubs locally, one nice café next to the church, but otherwise for most things we needed to go into St Mawes by bus or car. Roseland Peninsular is lovely and unfamiliar. It was not to crowed despite being at the beginning of the summer holidays. There is lot to do on land and water locally. The costal path was just down the road and had great walking. A lovely part of the world.

Fantastic house with views !

Comfortable property with everything you could need. The house is an upside down house and the sitting room panoramic window, offers fantastic views of the estuary and sailing boats. Well situated for visiting beaches, gardens such as Trebah and towns. The King Harry ferry is very simple to use. Very peaceful area and a stroll down to St. Just in Roseland Church is a must.

Lovely house with great views and open space

We booked after doing a little bit of research on the locality and really glad we made the right decision. It is a great place to return to after a long day traveling out and around. The parish church around the corner has the most idyllic setting we've ever seen, well worth a peaceful evening stroll to.

We had a wonderful week at Sandbar. The property was immaculately clean and was very well kitted out. Beautiful decor, wouldn’t have changed anything. The location is great, it was very easy to find. Parking right outside. A great base for family days out/ beach trips and also for walkers. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Spacious, modern accommodation, great for those rainy days!

Lovely, clean, modern spacious property with great views. It has everything you need for a break in Cornwall. We were there 3 days and for 1 day it poured, so we were glad we had a comfortable, light and airy property to spend much of the day in. Really close to St Mawes, which is lovely, and the ferries for day trips. Within walking distance is the amazing churchyard of St Just and the adjoining tearoom.

We are Mark, Wendy & Ellie and we live on Dartmoor in Devon with our hens and ducks and a converted barn for holidays. We had owned holiday cottages in a nearby village for 12 years, then took a break to bring up our daughter. We had the opportunity to purchase property in Rock, Cornwall which are successful as holiday rentals, then we added Kingswear on the river Dart as another venture. We have now had the amazing opportunity to purchase Sandbar, with its stunning views and complements our other properties. It has a 'home from home' feel which is important so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. We have added things we have collected over the years to make it feel homely for our guests. If you wish to plan a two centre holiday; we aim to provide short breaks at different locations except in high season.
The Roseland Peninsula is a special place as you will discover. Try Devon as another place to visit moortoseacottages

Quiet location yet with stunning estuary views, light and airy, comfortable with all you need for your stay. St Mawes a bustling harbour is close by for all shops and restaurants, ferry and boat trips. King Harry vehicle ferry takes you to Falmouth and Truro, National Trust gardens and to other parts of Cornwall. Incredible beaches nearby, pretty villages to explore and major attractions are within easy reach. A walker's paradise, hidden beaches and coves to discover, plenty for children to do on the water or on the shore.

Get way from it all location, views and sunsets, simply a lovely place to stay and a fantastic base from which to explore Roseland and pretty much all of Cornwall. Woodburner for low season breaks and the house is eco-friendly with solar water heating, underfloor low energy heating and thermal insulation, making it a cosy winter retreat. There is always a lot to do in the area whatever the season.
